    Specialized Vado sl 2 owners

I did it :) Was thinking about for 2 weeks. I like my SL 4.0 EQ from 2021 but the newer slightly more powerful and apparently more silent engine did it. Weight is about the same (the carbon frame offsets the higher wight of the battery and rack). Having been more opposed to the idea some time...

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

I have to admit that I have considered buying the carbon version the last few days and still do a bit. But on the other hand it's quite some money and my SL 4.0 EQ is still doing a good job and is even slightly lighter. Also wondering on how long they will keep these prices up like this. Whole...

    Two MIKs...sort of

thanks for the advice. Not sure what I see on the picture - does that mean you fix the adapter plate on the MIK, then put another rack on top of the plate to which you klick in various bags? so 4 layers (bag+rack+adapter+rack) instead of 2 (bag+rack)?

Racktime bag works on MIK HD rack

so you put the basil adapter on the rack or changed the adapter on the bag itself? I am considering upgrading from my SL 4.0 EQ (Racktime) to the SL2 6.0 EQ (MIK HD) but would hate to have to buy new bags because of the different rack system

New specialized Vado 6.0 EQ e-bike

Just found some pictures from when I received my 4.0 some years ago . Much more narrow wheels and frame . This is a luxury problem but still …

New specialized Vado 6.0 EQ e-bike

I had today the possibility to see the 6.0 in a shop . I’m torn… on one hand getting a cool upgrade of my 4 year old 4.0 EQ would be nice but it was not a wow effect seeing it in person . The tires are much wider and profiled than on the 4.0 and 5.0 and the protectors around it massive . The...

When will Vado SL 4.0(or 5.0) upgrate in 2025

If the carbon version already has the weight of the 5.0 , then the alloy version likely passes the 20 Kgs mark

    Two MIKs...sort of

if you would change from a bike with a Racktime compatible rack and you have several bags for it (Klickfix) and another bike you are considering has a MIK compatible rack: Ss there any adapter on the market that would enable you to continue using your Klickfix racktime compatible bags on a MIK rack?

New specialized Vado 6.0 EQ e-bike

sure, but it is almost 10 kg heavier than the SL2 (24 kg w/o battery, so approx 27-28 kg including battery). Completely different bike. This compares more to the normal Vado than the SL version

For Specialized SL owners. Have you bought the bottle battery and is it helpful to you?

I bought the bottle ´battery but rarely used it. My SL 4.0 is now approx 4 years old and I am using it a lot. But e,g, for commuting to office and back (24 km in total) in turbo mode (flat terrain but can be windy), there is still around 40-50% battery remaining. It's only on larger trips > 40...

New specialized Vado 6.0 EQ e-bike

I watched some videos about the SL2 (funny that it's still quite limited what you find about it on Youtube- 2 reviews in English and 2 in German). I have to admit I am getting more positive about it. Still the thicker tires are not so nice. In Denmark we have excellent cycle paths everywhere and...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Thanks for sharing your experience. That's what i thought too when looking at the online description of the SL2. Looks like a full e-bike (but isn't), weights despite the carbon frame 1,4 kgs more than my Vado SL 4.0 EQ, ugly colours except for the limited special edition, and to top this, wider...

    Red Blue flashing

Thanks a lot for your tip. That’s exactly how we got it out too . The tweezers method didn’t work but this did the trick .

Guess my Vado SL suffers number 6 right now . How do I change the coin battery on the TCU / how do I open the TCU?

Today the shifter worked flawlessly again. It is a pretty cool system. Just hope I don't see such problems again. Had a fantastic trip today. 86 kilometres round trip from south of the airport to Rungsted harbour and back. If you ever happen in Copenhagen, try renting a bike a drive along the...

Scott e-RIDE Addict 30 and the world of easier hills

The SRAM AXS etap made some trouble today. Suddenly I could only change into lower gears but not into higher gears again. The derailleurs were reacting when testing them and I also just had charged them but pressng the levers at the bar handle did not work anymore . Pretty annoying as I was...

Scott e-RIDE Addict 30 and the world of easier hills

Just wanted to share a picture of my new bell. The compact version is smaller and it sounds slightly deeper than the Spurcycle Original. Now I can ride more safely when crossing the city centre. As with the Original it is really loud, despite it's small size.

Thanks for your kind replies. Yes, bike lanes in Copenhagen are a real treat. Having said that, you still need to watch a bit ahead when riding a racing bike with narrow wheels. Sometimes there may be broken glass on the lane, potholes or simply bumps because workers installed some pipe across...

    Speed vs battery life

Just to add another angle of thought.... on a very light e-bike, like a racing bike, the faster you ride, the less you need the battery. This is because on a light racing bike you naturally exceed the 25 km/h the engine supports you (in Europe) most of the times anyway, hence battery only kicks...
