How to actually change settings on Turbo?

It seems to be, starting with the bike off, press the joystick straight down on center, wait a second, hold the power button for three seconds, release the power button and continue pressing the joystick until the km/h comes up on the display in teensy invisible letters.

How to actually change settings on Turbo?

OK so the second method works. I guess I have established that my controller just doesn't have a backlight, or it's always been broken. Turning it on or off makes no difference. :-/

How to actually change settings on Turbo?

Another PDF on the Specialized site is slightly less contradictory, saying: „To access the setup function of the computer (with reed switch): Press and hold the joystick to the left while squeezing the right-side brake lever. Press the battery power button to turn on the system, then continue...

How to actually change settings on Turbo?

These instructions are nonsense, and the picture contradicts the text. The words say to press to the left, but the image says to press down on center. My model Turbo doesn't even have the brake that integrates with the computer, so it can't be involved either. How do you actually get into the...

    Turbo Updates

If the local shop sold you that charger and represented it as suitable to the job, it's their responsibility to make it work or take it back. I like my local shop but if they tried to charge me for a firmware upgrade I'd pretty much throw a fit. It's not your fault that the program is broken...

Is there any alternative to bike or helmet mirrors?

Zona is a scam just like Skully was.

    Longest Single Ride Yet!

Not bad! I'm surprised you find it convenient to adjust the ECO mode boost level. I find it a bit of a chore. I also find myself accidentally whacking the joystick from time to time, and using Turbo when I didn't mean to.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Very nice. Why American bike company launches abroad first????

    The new turbo Vado 2017

As for sales, my local Specialized dealers haven't had any ever, so either they are selling like hotcakes, or they aren't making any.

Even motorcycles with stressed engines don't weld them into the frame :-)

    The new turbo Vado 2017

I guess they think it would be more Swiss to have a grey machine and some really garish Freitag panniers.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Oh, I see your other review for the 5.0 lists it at only 46 lbs. That is surprising! Isn't the only substantial difference from the 5.0 to the 6.0 the fork? The battery capacity, torque, and power are listed as the same.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Thorough review! Do you happen to know what the claimed weight is for the other models? I'd really like to keep it under fifty pounds, as that is the design load limit for many bike carriers (on buses, trains, and streetcars). By the way, I tried to post this comment on the review itself but...

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Yeah but even the hard-forked Vado 5.0 has a 28h wheel, and I smashed the factory 36h front wheel on my Turbo in less than 90 days. I have to admit the 6.0 is looking pretty slick with that fork, big motor, big battery, and almost reasonable price.

The other change in the Vado 6.0 appears to be "integrated horn". lolwut.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

I wonder why they went from a 36-spoke wheel down to 28 on the Vado. Excessive wheel strength is not one of the complaints I have heard about the Turbo.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Maybe not. I'm just reacting to the advert. It shows a guy bicycling from (apparently) Bolinas to San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge, a distance of 32 miles. You don't want a slow bike for that.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

That's true, it would be OK with one of the lesser Vado models. But anybody can ride an ordinary bike at those speeds :-)

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Ha. Of course in California it would be unlawful to ride a type 3 e-bike on a class 1 bike path, like the one on the Golden Gate Bridge shown in the video.
