I do think that the $777 bikes feel like they are using cheap components all around. I can't imagine anybody would buy this at full retail price of $3399. Shocker that they even listed that as the MSRP.

For those that have a B17, do you think it would work for a bike with a relaxed, upright seating position? Brooks doesn't make a saddle designed for an upright posture that does not have the spring suspension, which I do not want, as my bike has a rear fox shock. Thank you

Interesting, thanks. So, it appears that Brooks does not even make a saddle for an upright seating position, that does not have a saddle spring suspension on it. I guess that means Brooks is out? Shame, I was going to order one. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks everybody for your input. I have a full suspension mountain bike, but I am using it for rail trails (eg no mountain biking). I have a fully upright seating position (stem riser, short stem, swept back bars), so it appears I need a wider saddle designed for this upright riding position...

I was also looking at the Ergon ST Core Prime Saddle, https://www.ergonbike.com/en/article-st-core-prime.html Though it is hard to tell if all the "saddle technology" is just marketing BS. Ergon generally makes good stuff though

I have read many posts on this forum saying that Brooks Saddles are the most comfortable out there, and for the life of me I cannot figure out why. They feel hard as a rock. What am I missing?

Disagree on all counts. 1) Buy fenders. Not expensive. 2) Old man mountain makes a aftermarket better rack for mountain bikes than anything else on the market. 3) Buy a light. 4) change tires to something less knobby. 5) you can just as easily carry a spare battery. You do get the stability...

What lock do you use to lock it up? I am wondering if I can get an Abus 540 U-Lock through that Abus 10KS or an Abus 12KS chain. That Abus 10KS chain that you used was reviewed here, and was a little concerning. Thinking of the Abus 12KS chain instead...

What do you think about the handling of the bike with the weight of the battery so high up in a handlebar roll? Also, if that bag fails for whatever reason, the battery has a long fall to hit the floor, and will likely crack open? I thought about this too
