Sorry to hear that...really adds to the value in how Pushkar is very visible and quick to respond. Even the unfortunate delays are Grade A transparency. I feel like I am not getting ripped when communication is up front and honest.

Carbon is supposed to be 4x stronger if made right. If you are doing 10' jumps then (a) I suppose it matters and you would want a lighter frame at that point, and (b) you are a beast and I am jealous. I snapped an aluminum frame as a kid but that was rust-induced on a BMX bike.

Hydra is carbon fiber. Frey EX is aluminum, correct?

Does "looks like" mean you actually weighed it? My $1,000 hardtail aluminum NCM Moscow is 56 lbs so I tend to think the Kirby is closer to that 50.76 lbs.

I bought an NCM Moscow. I had the motor crap out after 60 days, called Leon Cycles who asked me to make a video so they could justify it with NCM, and they sent a replacement right away. That's good customer service right there. I burnt out the brakes in about 90 days - wish I got the Plus...

Thanks so much for taking the time to post this. I had the Kirby eBike on my watch list but that guy never replied to my email inquiries. I love his videos and thought it was a nice bike with components listed. At $6K it's priced close to a Hydra with Archon max'd out + Kindernay.

Yeah I just saw your other post which answered my own question. I keep seeing those types of bikes here in San Diego - a modernized version of the classic DIY dirt bikes of the 70s using a lawnmower motor and instructions out of the back of Popular Mechanics...next to the DIY helicopter every...
