R&M Recall Packster 70: Recall and immediate riding stop.

It's always worth noting that liability doesn't necessarily transfer like that without a contract. If the owner of the bike simply doesn't get notice (or chooses to keep it and not respond to R&M or the dealer about the replacement), they don't just get to wash their hands of liability. But...

Does Anybody Sell a Lithium Battery Pack With a Built-in USB Connector?

And there's bicycle-centric ones like this that mount on your water bottle cage holders. I know I've also seen one that is the size of a water bottle to drop in an existing bottle holder, and you could make that with a cheap bank and a cheap bottle. https://www.znex.de/notstrom-powerbank/

Does Anybody Sell a Lithium Battery Pack With a Built-in USB Connector?

I also just use a USB splitter cable on my bike that doesn't have the second USB port on the display. Works fine for my phone and a simple auxiliary headlight. Might be limited though if your headlight is a power hog.

Battery Failure on Rize RX Pro

Still under warranty? If so, Email Rize with the issue before you consider opening up the case and troubleshooting. No warranty? Tear in (carefully of course) and check it out. Is is the older model with the Reention Dorado battery? See here...

You Really Do Get What You Paid For (Motors)

And don't forget that revisions and changes are driven by the market. If Bafang continues to sell out their entire production capacity without any pressure to improve it, they won't spend the time and money on the R&D to refine it. Better to just look forward and move on to the next new...

    newspeedbike.com, legitimate or scam?

I hear alarm bells. In this market no one needs to discount an ebike 50%. The Ali Price is double the website price imported. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001199640777.html

Remove security code on a Stealth B-52

I don't think you can. You can only go into the user settings and add a delay to the lock function.

    ZOOM Brake hydraulic mineral oil?

The heavy oil. I also have seen comments about baby oil being a little thin and leading to spongy brakes - especially when hot. And the introduction of additives like fragrances, aloe, etc, might also be a slight concern. The only time that might be flipped, is if you run in very cold temps...

2021 Rize Models - Shipping Thread

Within Warranty? Not going to happen. Outside of warranty? Some guys have already written firmware that can be flashed to Bafang M500s and 600s on CAN bus, but it is just experimental and you need to get the software/tool. See this thread if you are the brave and tech saavy type who is...

New Rad City, as expected now a geared hub

More likely they simply asked the manufacturers for something to meet a spec, and this was already in the system at a known price point. Easier to change the bike frame at production to be a few mm's wider, than to build a custom hub option. A lot of product design comes down to what we can...

    ZOOM Brake hydraulic mineral oil?

I'd probably go with it over the baby oil, as the baby oil probably has a few other additives that would be a wild card...

New Rad City, as expected now a geared hub

And looking at all the "Damaged in shipping" posts on here, it's got to be a serious pain in the ass for sellers to have to be constantly chasing couriers for reimbursement as well as supplying the components to buyers, who may or may not have an LBS to help them with the install. A name like...

    Bad chain skipping over gears

That was one of the adjustments on mine that seemed to help as well. The b-tension was way to slack when delivered. Tightening that up also made the shifts much crisper and quicker in general.

    The Green Room

Some local communities have tried recently to push this approach, but they led with the noise issues (Blowers in particular), and emissions as a secondary point. It failed so far because the majority of commercial landscapers and city workers argued successfully that couldn't do their jobs with...

New Rad City, as expected now a geared hub

Ahh, I think I just read into it based on the Rad Rover history. Will be interesting to see how it tests. And if you look at the rear shot, it seems like it's got an unusually wide rear stay spacing, and significant offset. More than you need for just a disc brake...

    Bad chain skipping over gears

I wrecked a cassette in less than 500kms (300miles) with my Ultra Mid Drive. 8&9 (smallest cogs) went quickly as the majority of those miles were spent in those 2 gears, and once it started skipping, it failed very fast. Actually found micro-cracks in the gears after I pulled it. There were a...

New Rad City, as expected now a geared hub

Is it a 'real' 750 hub though, or the 500w core? I thought the true Bafang 750w Hubs were limited to fat widths?

    ZOOM Brake hydraulic mineral oil?

Heavy oil has a higher viscosity, and that "might" have an impact, but I've seen the argument made by a number of riders that use drug store oil with no issue. if you ask Shimano, I'm sure they will say to only use approved Shimano oil. The heavy oil is medical grade for internal consumption...

Passed by accident where a biker got killed :/

And closing speeds really matter in collision survivability. Head on, the speed would be added together, so a car at 50, and a bike at 25 would have a collision speed of 75mph. Energy transferred would be catastrophic and likely fatal. When travelling in the same direction, that speed is...
