How to ride in the smoke.

Reminiscent to the dust bowl. Washington DC politicians ignored the crisis until a huge storm reached DC in 1935. Then help went west.

    Bosch Purion dead pixels

Why the resistance to buy a replacement display? If you found an old used display, you'll get the same dried out seal. You could have a pattern shop make a mold to cast the replacement rubber if you still insist on not replacing the display

How to ride in the smoke.

We have had "very unhealthy for everyone warnings" for the past two days in Peoria, IL. Especially tough on people my age, 70! I did a little work yesterday and came in huffing and puffing. Supposed to get better latter in the week. Bikes are parked until it gets better.

Hypotheticals - would you replace your R&M with another R&M??

I never think of replacing my Haibikes. They never leave my sight when I'm out, so theft is not a big issue. I have 8,700 miles during 7 years on one of them and it rides like the day I took it from the shop. Still on original battery too. I figure I'll just replace parts until I don't ride anymore.

Uses more battery in the afternoon than in the morning?

Lower end eBikes react differently when it has a full charge or partial. The controllers aren't high end computers and the curve they give you from the battery is not linear. Both the power feel and battery capacity are both non linear. Now a power system like Bosch does have a linear line. The...

Are all Bosch mid-drive systems Class 1 only and... is that good or bad?

I'm nearing my 71st birthday and still see no need for a throttle. You can't add or convert any Bosch equipment to use a throttle.

    Tire pressure question

If your bikes have knobby tires, the knobs will wear directly in the center at high pressures and on the side knobs with lower psi. You get to choose.

Canyon and Bosch: Just confusing? .... or actually fradulent?

Well put your money where your mouth is and retain a lawyer to sue them for this horrible transgression. The lawyer can probably get the job done for $20,000.

I thought Class 3 would feel safer on the road

In Illinois, you have to provide proof of insurance to buy license plates. My wife was in a car accident when an uninsured drivers hit her. About 6 months latter we got a check in the mail from our insurance, reimbursing us for the $500 deductible since the driver had to get new license plates...
