Same here - it's a great fender and can be quickly changed to other bikes you might be lucky to have. BTW - what are you doing with electrical tape on your seatpost? Trying to determine best height?

I'm not so sure a wider tire will provide you any more cushioned ride. My stock Vado SL tires just ride on the smooth, middle section of the tire. And the knobby part of the tire is used when I bank or turn the bike. So, if my tire was wider, there wouldn't be any change to the ride...

Thanks for posting your power stats for the similar rides - very interesting. Aerodynamics is actually the real deal. :) And the numbers seem similar to what is experienced with standard bikes.

Given the cost of renting an Ebike - the shipping cost doesn't seem that terrible. Find it hard to believe they'll fly an SL though since such a high capacity battery. Good to know.

IMO - there's not enough clearance with those tires. It doesn't take much debris to get lodged in to such a small gap causing the tire to freeze. In turn - the rider can go over the bars. I think I'd stay with the maximum tire width spec provided by Spec. bio

Exactly! Happy you now own 'one of the best bikes I've ever purchased'. I have kept my 4SL stock but understand your changes. And I agree - it's an awesome machine. One with E capabilities but the feel of a 'regular' bike. Enjoy and I can tell you it only gets better. :)

I run a flashing light on my Vado SL. I do it because I've seen other riders with blinking lights when I'm driving my car and they're very visible. I just figured 'you can't be too safe' but I certainly don't want to upset drivers. Most folks in the States already hate cyclists.

I love the front and rear light mounts on my Vado SL. Strongly disagree it's poor engineering.
