I have ridden >20k miles in flip flops on my ebikes. And I thrill riding through water puddles which is impractical to do with shoes and socks.

My vote is for MTB pedals. Definitely clip-on for acoustic bikes. MTB because my feet slide on the pedals when I ride hard & fast. My riding shoes - always flip flops with tread on the bottoms so they grab the MTB pedals spikes.

My bike started generating a “service due” message@ 1K miles. Annoying with each start. The only reset was through the Bosch service app. However, my tech & I agreed and he set the next notice @ 100K. Yes, the service due message is a good reminder. Just like oil change reminders on cars.

The % coasting is close to equal for all assist levels. Average speeds are anywhere from 10mph to 26mph. And I like to stand on my pedals and coast a lot.

My recommendation is Panaracer Gravelkings. Very good tires for my multi-surface riding. I ride them tubeless.
