Multicharger — what break pads do you use?

The best way to track brake pad wear is by mileage. Ten months really does not mean anything. For example, my Supercharger II front pads are due for replacement (wear is down to 2.8 mm; minimum spec is 2.5 mm) after 1,450 km. That is with the OEM pads, Magura 7C pads, their 'Comfort' pads. I...

Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit (Magura Brakes)

Thanks for the suggestion. Also, the reminder about the clip and bleed blokes. Both of which are missing from the Magura kits available here.

Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit (Magura Brakes)

I am looking for a brake bleed kit for my Magura MT5/MT4 brakes. There is one or two sellers locally selling one of the Magura kits (two syringe type), but I like the look of the pot style kits. Plus, for the number of times I will use it, a reasonably priced alternative would be preferred. I...

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

I did a quick proof of concept today with two different straps, one a ratchet strap, which said not for lifting (whoops) and the black one at the rear. You just pull it tight to lock the strap. The ratchet strap was not great, but the black one was easy to use. Just pull on the strap to lift...

New PX line is finally uncovered prior to eurobike

So I assume one needs a new bike with this motor fitted ... mmmm

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

I do have a pair of those, so I will give them a shot, at least as a proof of concept. My joists are too far apart for a straight up-down lift, so I will still need to put a block of wood in place to position the straps correctly (and shift the light).

    Brake Pad Wear

Bumping this thread: My Riese and Muller Supercharger 2 came with Magura 9C pads, which Magura describe as "for riders who want control rather than bite from their brakes as well as those looking for a long-lasting product.'. I have hit 1,450 km, and the pads are close to their wear limit of...

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

Nice, but I suspect that would cost a little more than AU $50 :) and be over kill for my little home workshop/shed.

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

Thanks to everyone for the recent ideas. Lots of options for sure. Gionnirocket, your hanging option does look interesting. I can get the same host here in Australia from Amazon for AU$58, which is reasonable. How do you find the movement of the bike, or do you 'lock it down' somehow? My work...

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

This one? Apparently, it is good for e-bikes ... Costs more than most stands but :)

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

That is good to know. I had been concerned it was a weak spot. I can remove the batteries easily. Just need to strip off the bags, etc, first. First world problems :)

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

If my bike were stand friendly as yours, I would be quite happy doing as you do; sadly, it is not :(

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

I am glad that works for you. However, as per my previous post, using such a stand with a bike such as mine is not that practical.

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

I have a stand, a Feedback stand similar to this one. My bike, however, is a Riese and Mueller Supercharger, which has a battery in the top tube and the down tube, making these tubes significantly larger than most bikes and hence not ideal for this stand. My only option for clamping the bike...

PSA: Emergency call information for iPhone users

Here in Australia, we have an app, Emergency Plus, which does all that from the app. Calls as well as lists the address the phone is at, the latitude and longitude coordinates and what3words. I have it on my Android phone, but I assume it is available for iOS as well.

New Bosch Gen1–Gen4 Unlock Tool – No Chip, No Errors, Full Reset

Sorry for the delay replied. As I indicated earlier, I would like to hear of others' experiences first before giving it a shot. I am risk-averse:) Also, if I cannot get around the odometer issue, I am really not that keen.

Bosch Walk Assist (Not Smart System)

On the Bosch system you are pressing the + button which is at the top of the remote. Not ideal for walking and pushing, at least when you are fighting rocks at the same time.

Bosch Walk Assist (Not Smart System)

Thanks for the tip. I cannot remember what gear I had downshifted to before I started the big push, but will keep this in mind in the future.

    JACKS FOR EBIKE?

That is what I was thinking. In my case, the bike would be sitting on the motor, somewhat like what this guy has done.
