    Show Us a Tool

It’s a tool I’m borrowing from an actual garage road bike mechanic, but I’m finding there isn’t really any replacement for a tool like this and should probably get my own.

    bike seems dead

Usually the case with digital equipment, but analog equipment would give very bad readings since they are (typically) more sensitive.

    bike seems dead

Problem could be the volt meter since the charger and battery are reading similar voltage.

    bike seems dead

A 36v battery shouldn’t be paired with a 46v charger. You are reading 45v on the battery when it shouldn’t be over 42v, ever. It almost sounds like the battery builders added a cell series. That would give you your reading, but makes no sense that a cell series would’ve been added. Unless they...

    Hall sensor bad

The hall sensors are typically glued in between the magnets of the motor. They usually have a Bat+, Gnd, and Sig. I circled where there are 3 sets of 3 solder points that the sensors usually connected to. Maybe the sensors are on the other side of the board? But it seems like you need to...

    bike seems dead

The only battery with a key, that I’ve dealt with, the key needed to be in a certain position before the display could be turned on. Otherwise, the battery won’t distribute voltage. On that battery, there are little icons on the ring around the keyhole. Maybe yours has a similar ring around the...

    bike seems dead

The power can be held in the capacitors of the controller. Even if the battery briefly turns on. I would try to disconnect the controller, from the battery, and power the battery on. Since the battery “flashes quickly”, it could be that there is a wiring (or device) fault that is shutting the...

Sometimes (imgur) you can also see the account holders real name. I don’t have too much faith in keeping personal things private on some image hosting sites.

Problem with some hosting sites, is when you share one image, the viewer can see all your other photos on that account.

    Places that hate bicycle riders.

I asked, at a pot dispensary, if they could move their bike rack out of the bushes and attach it to the pavement. The bike rack is still in the bushes and not attached to anything. I no longer go there. The pavement is a shared walk way with a neighboring business.

    Frame Snapped

That sucks to happen on such a new bike. How did it get too bouncy? Speed bumps? Was there a previous crash involving that bike? What kind of bike is it?

    Places that hate bicycle riders.

There is a convenience store near my house. The bike rack is inside the landscaping. You have to haul your bike over the curb and push it through the wood chips. Just watch the plants. Who thought that was a good idea?!

Something didn’t seem right so I remeasured. My battery L2 is 275mm. L1 is 355mm. I absolutely have the IR-5 case. I don’t see those with 21700 cells.
