anyone know actual weight difference between a Creo Carbon Comp and a similar aluminum model?

I don’t know why Specialized doesn’t publish the weights. As for “secretive”, well I can just say my personal experience is they’ve freely answered me both times I’ve asked for weights of particular models/sizes.

    Creo SL vs Vado SL

@JustRiding I’m curious which mid-drive assist-up-to-28mph electric road bikes you're finding which are both lighter and less expensive than the Creo models? (and which broadcast as much data via ANT+ & BLE) The Mahle hub motor assist cuts out at 20 mph, as does the assist on the Fazua 50...

anyone know actual weight difference between a Creo Carbon Comp and a similar aluminum model?

Specialized customer support can be responsive these days. I got the following weights for size medium bikes via chat a couple weeks ago. Turbo Creo SL Comp E5: 31 lbs Turbo Creo SL Comp Carbon: 28.4 lbs Turbo Creo SL Comp Carbon EVO: 29.8 lbs

    Turbo Vado SL 4.0 vs 5.0 SL EQ(Possibly pre-owned)

You’d still have warranty coverage on the used 5.0 for two years from original purchase date. Just no lifetime frame warranty. https://www.specialized.com/us/en/warranty

    Creo SL vs Vado SL

ah, yes, that explains it then. distance unfortunately adds cost - time/fuel to go get it or cost to get shop to ship to a local store for them to build and deliver. Eats up a lot of the $750 delta to a 2022 comp carbon when there’s couple within a two hour drive. Still sort of leaning...

    Creo SL vs Vado SL

Turns out that is the one closest to me too. Rather a bit further from Atlanta though… … and may be the only one east of the Mississippi…

    Creo SL vs Vado SL

Which shops, please? Specialized site shows 920 miles away for the nearest medium 2021 Comp Carbon (in Massachusetts). There’s a Large slightly closer in Pennsylvania, only 680 miles away. No Smalls showing as available in store. Yes, there are closer XLs but buying two sizes too big would be...

    Creo SL vs Vado SL

@Saratoga Dave indeed, though if one were looking primarily for road riding bike (such as the @Rollegourmet seems to be), the $1500 price delta to the 2022 comp carbon which includes a couple upgrades, benefits of carbon frame, and 8% weight reduction, would be pretty compelling. Even more so...

    Creo SL vs Vado SL

While writing the following, RiderCare responded surprisingly promptly clarifying that the carbon models do not in fact have rear rack mounts (I thought they did), and thus my question/premise is moot. All charts are from the cited Support document...

    Creo SL vs Vado SL

Unfortunately, Specialized seems to contradict themselves. According the to manual they say it should be fine in one place: and they say so again: ... and then they say differently elsewhere... yet the similarly framed carbon Diverge lists full rear cargo weight capacity? And why is...

    Creo SL vs Vado SL

Question on this part if you don’t mind. I thought the carbon frame had rack attachment points near the thru axle, and one just needed to replace the seat tube clamp with the one with rack stay mounts. Is that not the case?

    Creo SL vs Vado SL

Sounds like the Creo might well not have been sized for your body either. Even though the frames may bear the same size label, you might've needed different stem length/angle or hood positioning or even handlebar width than what that rental Creo was equipped with. With the riding position of a...

    Arghhhhh! My New Bike😡😡

Did the older display require special super-small jeweler's screwdrivers to access that battery? Because that's the only way you're getting inside the TCD-w, suggesting there's no user-serviceable internals.

    Arghhhhh! My New Bike😡😡

or it has an internal capacitor in lieu of a battery and the associated bits required to allow replacement, making it maintenance free. all that said, my recommendation would be to use 3M VHB tape to secure the display to the mount.

Trunk Bag for 2022 Turbo Vado

Note that the Topeak bags come in two flavors. The MTX bags have the track mount preinstalled and you'll need to remove it as @6zfshdb describes. The MTS bags have a velcro mount which can be snipped off once you successfully mount the MIK plate. I chose the MTS bag. For the MIK adapter, I...

3D printed Varia radar mount for 2022 Turbo Vado 4.0

Well, *I* know from personally testing it many times mounted horizontally on my Vado in the same riding locations/conditions as having it vertically mounted on my road bike. No discernible difference in performance, whether distance or ability to pick up multiple cars. Confirmed via mirror...

OMNI QUICKTRACK ADAPTER & MTX TRUNKBAG EX ON A 2022 VADO or COMO?

Looking at the Klixfix adapter online it seems not to have as much middle structure as the MIK adapter plate. If a piece of stiff plastic doesn't work, a bit of aluminum sheet surely would. The nice thing with the Topeak is the interior padded piece at the bottom folds up so you can put...

OMNI QUICKTRACK ADAPTER & MTX TRUNKBAG EX ON A 2022 VADO or COMO?

Having owned an MTX trunk bag and Explorer Disc rack on another bike, I considered that quicktrack adapter for my Vado 4.0 and a Topeak bag, but preferred to stick with the MIK system for the Vado. So I bought a MIK adapter plate and attached it to the bottom of a Topeak MTS Trunkbag DXP (not...

3D printed Varia radar mount for 2022 Turbo Vado 4.0

Nope. It doesn't need to be. Mine is horizontal and work great. I posted my setup last summer in another thread here.

Trunk Bag for 2022 Turbo Vado

My wife has one of the newer Bontrager MIK bags, the 13L version. Interior seems around the same size as my Topeak MTS DXP but doesn't have the upward expandability nor the fold out panniers. @MC2 - I'd recommend ordering the Topeak from Amazon or somewhere with a good return policy and...
