New data point, the KMC X11e blew out on 4 consecutive rides. I returned and replaced it with the beefier X10e which seems superior after my first 10 mile ride which included some elevation gain not reported for the first ride of the X11e. I think this is the better solution. Time will tell.

Nyon Upgrade in USA worked out of the box!

Sooooo, what's the market like for a used Intuvia with Controller. This is such a rip and great piece of equipment, I don't see myself going back. ;)

Bicycle chains are simply a weak point in the design and makeup of two wheeled vehicles. This thread reminded me of a friend I met 2 years ago and his experiences with bikes and moto's. He's 6'6" and trim at 255 lb, he played professional F'ball at 285 lbs. He's notorious in the Denver region...

    Intuvia Speedometer

I don't think the GPS speed is an accurate measurement at any specific point in time. I understand that it's an average from your unit and the satellite feed which is not instantaneous. Contact your GPS manufacturer to verify your unit. I'm ok with a physical measurement rather than a...

Question to Haibike Full Suspension owners

I'm aware of Peening, they make tools for that and I know when/how to use them. Insert nodding smilie face.

Nyon Upgrade in USA worked out of the box!

Very nice, thanks again. I was also looking at the ability to easily program the Nyon for individual wheel circumferences. http://www.berkshiresports.org/index.php?ID=bikecomputertiresizecalculator I'm thinking that plays into the 28 mph cutoff through the system and wonder if it can be played...

Question to Haibike Full Suspension owners

Same as on a motorcycle, Chain break tool. Yes, KMC e11x 126 links which I reduced. Popped a pin, placed the links, pushed the pin back through. Now it's a continuous chain without that screwy Master Link.

New chain is excellente' after a test ride. I stopped at 2 bike shops this past week and the results were clear, the chain was still within tolerance but had stretched quite a bit over just the past 250 miles. So a new KMC X11e went on as a continuous chain without the included Master Link. My...

Question to Haibike Full Suspension owners

I would suggest watching the chain carefully. Mine measured good at 1200 miles but had significant stretch at 1500 miles. It's not the cheapest item to replace but well worth saving sprocket wear and tear. I've just replaced it and since the replacement was 126 links and I only needed 111, I'm...

Nyon Upgrade in USA worked out of the box!

Checking back in with another Thanks to Alaskan and tallpaul. My chain was becoming stretched but now it's replaced. And the Nyon has been installed and seems to be working great. I've downloaded #2 State maps and still have some room. Big ride in Santa Fe next weekend. I have not yet synced it...

FullSeven S Pro has an 11 speed cassette. I had to go count cogs to be sure. I think there are a couple other minor differences between the bikes. Thanks for making me double check.

Yes, I've read the recommends for the KMC chains. I found a reasonable price on a KMC X11e and established a good contact with a local ebike technician. He had never ridden the CX Performance Speed and was really interested in it. I had him take a ride around the lot and he's a convert like me. lol

    Chain Noise?

Wow, looks like I just got bit by the chain stretch. Rode it last week and put it up for the weekend. Took it down today and it puttered immediately. Up on the bike rack to find the chain is skipping and not seating on the small cog above the motor. No damage to any teeth but I'm not going to...

Nyon Upgrade in USA worked out of the box!

I'm still waiting on the controller, perhaps in another week. @Alaskan Just outstanding in both explanation and detail, thank you! I'm a tad excited after charging the Nyon and getting a feel for it's capabilities.

Nyon Upgrade in USA worked out of the box!

Bumpity for this thread. I have purchased a Nyon 1G version and I'm waiting for my controller cable purchased separately to arrive. I'm running Android on a Samsung S7Edge and would like any coaching available. I do have some family in England that can purchase a Google Play card. What steps...

    U-Lock for SDURO Trekking

Good ideas here so here's my approach. I've got #2 folding locks and #2 locking cables. I park the bike in the most visible spot and use a combination of locks to secure it. A portable grinder makes noise, attracts attention and they'll need to spend time on two locks. If I was really concerned...

    500 powerpack upgrade

The versatility and additional range are well worth my investment in the 500 Wh battery. Both posts above ^^^ reinforce that. I have a ride from my house that is 11 miles and 3000 ft of elevation gain. I made that ride 5 times and twice ran down the 400 Wh battery to zero. Not healthy for the...

    500 powerpack upgrade

Sounds like the best deal I've heard of, congrats. It reinforces the idea that retail prices are marked up quite a bit over cost.

    500 powerpack upgrade

There are discounted batteries available and I have upgraded. Many of us would like a backup battery and it makes sense to upgrade for that purpose. My understanding is that dealer cost on these batteries is in the $600 range so you can find them for a decent price. Talk to the dealer that sold...
