    2017 BH Easy Motion Lineup

I saw Pete Prebus' video from Interbike, and thought the BH guy must be misinformed when he mentioned 500Wh and 600Wh batteries. Here's hoping it's actually true. The "thru axle" for the rear motor would also be interesting to see. The motor axle has always been hollow to accommodate the wire...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

Thanks J.R! Glad you found it useful. edit: Updated the instructions with optional Step 23, should your bolts seize or deform.

    Evo 29er rear wheel spokes

I've experienced the same thing in general, where US/UK companies no longer respond to email queries. Maybe it's how bike shops are more used to call in and walk in service, or the shops already know BH bikes are hard to service and just ignore anyone but their own clients. Sad to see many of...

How do i delimit my EVO Cross? Is it simple to do for a novice?

Yes they did, and I've done about 900km with it over the summer. I love the extra speed, and have the fortune of safely using the full 32km/h about half way on each commute. 32km/h makes more sense for me, while still being safe. I only save about 12-15 min in my total time commuting each day...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

The internal free wheel probably refers to the one-way bearing found in these geared hub motors, in either a pawl and ratchet or a clutch/roller design (that Dapu use). It allows the planetary reduction gear to disengage the axle when free wheeling forward. See this video.

    Correct wheel size for computer?

To grt it right, you'd have to actually cross reference with another device, like GPS or Google maps measuring tool. See my posts here: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/em-street-display-not-accurate-for-mileage.4404/

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

Every manufacturer has to come up with multiple enclosure designs to fit each application and to avoid infringement, so yours is different, but it still might be a Dapu. Could be a Dapu M155 CD for all we know, which is similar to the motor I have. Yours has no threat of balls falling into the...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

..continued. Optional steps: Step 21. Using a rod punch tool to tap at the Allen bolts before trying to unscrew them. If they're really tight you might need to heat up the bolts with a heat gun or small torch. This will save you a lot of grief. Third hand optional. Use this method to open the...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

Updated free hub overhaul guide: Since I have two motors and rear wheels, one of them just sitting in the corner, I thought I'd revisit the Dapu free hub overhaul procedure. DO NOT DROP BEARING BALLS INSIDE THE MOTOR! The magnets will suck them up and you'll never get them out. Step 1. To...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

We haven't confirmed if this tool even works for the Dapu free hub yet, so please don't go ordering expensive tools yet. Maybe go to a shop and ask them to kindly try a few of theirs to see which size you've got, or ask the online seller for accurate measurements. I've no experience with the...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

Sorry to hear you (and us all) being left helpless with an expensive product one would expect to get decent support for. Me and KeiKei (another user here on the forum) have been researching the Dapu freehub, and he recons this tool "SuperB TB-1018" is the one to open the cone bearing. I made a...

em street display not accurate for mileage?

The way I calibrated my display was I used the Google Maps (desktop) measuring tool to plot and measure the route that I usually take to commute, then by riding it a couple times, find the wheel size that best matches the trip meter to the actual distance. The software on my display is way off...

    Evo 29er rear wheel spokes

I'll be dismantling my Euro Evo 29er wheel at some point, as I want to get rid of the cheapo Alex DM18 rims for good. I was annoyed by the lack of readily available spare spokes or rims from BH as soon as I bought my bike, and in the end I'm far better off without needing their spares at all...

How do i delimit my EVO Cross? Is it simple to do for a novice?

It is noticeable to me. From a stand still it's slightly more sluggish, but then again I've had 1.5 years of experience with the stock motor.

How do i delimit my EVO Cross? Is it simple to do for a novice?

Thanks for posting bjornb! I've seen pictures of those on Neos, but yours is the first Evo. I suppose, eventually somebody could try modifying a Nitro battery to reduce the voltage to around 43V to achieve the same results. But you'd need a charger with matching voltage. Your setup has extra...

Evo 29er: the hunt for a second wheelset and/or new rims

Here she is, all laced up nice like. A local bike expert did the wheel building. We chose Sapim Strong spokes, which aren't 13G (2,3mm) all the way like the original spokes, but just the bend and a couple inches above it is 13G, the rest is 14G. I would have wanted 13G spokes of course, since...

Difference between two EVO 29er models?

EV726 looks to be the 2016 Euro 25km/h 250W "standard" 29er version. Then there's the 29er Pro version with slightly upgraded components. EV765 is the 2015 Euro 29er. This is what I have, though my fork was an XC32 air fork with 15mm thru-axle. Edit: and the EV765 is 36V, while the 2016 ones...

Looks like they updated the rubberized buttons on the display? BTW, instantly recognized the wheels on the Russian BMP-1. Eww.

    Neck spacers on Jumper

The steerer tube on the fork has been cut to length right below the top of the stem clamp, and the stem clamps onto the steerer tube. The steerer cap, bolt and star nut then hold the package together. You adjust the stiffness of the headset and steerer with the cap bolt. You can't add spacers...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

I've sent a few e-mails directly to BH in Spain, with various questions, but they've never replied. Dealers from what I've understood, between the lines, is that they have very little communication with BH as well, and it mostly consists of ordering new stock and processing warranty claims. Many...
