    Electric Car thread

I don’t think that’s necessarily true….. Holy coolant lines! 🤪 Nissan Leaf radiator assembly. Looks very ICEish! https://nissan.7zap.com/jp/gr/leaf/ze0/3+1511+65535/c/214/

👍 …….also, it has a radiator, pumps and hoses that require the same maintenance and suffer the same failures as those on an ICE vehicle.

    Electric Car thread

While the battery on your Leaf is air cooled (most EVs have water cooled batteries), I’m pretty sure it has a cooling system (liquid) to cool the motor and electronics…..and will require maintenance at some point too. Just say‘n! 😜

    TREK Ebike Battery Discharger

Nope, not with Bosch, Shimano or Brose. You can pedal to your hearts content, but the motor will not engage without a real/significant load.

    TREK Ebike Battery Discharger

Bosch no throttle, and with a good torque based system, pedaling while the rear wheel is off the ground will not engage the motor.

    TREK Ebike Battery Discharger

If the brakes are properly bled (no air in the system), them being upside down will be absolutely no issue.

    Rush/Cty Speed sizing question

So you’re 5’9”, not 5’5” as your original post indicated? if so, I agree a medium would be right for you.

    Rush/Cty Speed sizing question

The Serial 1 website has a size calculator. Using it with your dimensions, it says your a size small. I am 5’9” with 30” inseam and have a medium. My sizing puts me between a medium and large per the calculator. I preferred the medium frame for the additional top tube clearance versus the...

MOSH/Cty Pedal Cadence - change gear ratio?

The brakes on my Rush/CTY Speed are quiet. Like you said, it’s very important to bed them in properly. If you didn’t do so when they were new, you‘ll likely need to replace the pads. Serial 1 has a great tutorial on how to bed them in properly...

Motor Mods to increase power for Creo bikes

There is no “issue”. The bike was designed to be first and foremost lightweight. They achieved this this in part by using a light, compact motor. With current technology, more power would mean more weight. You knew the power output of the motor before you bought it….and now you’re complaining…..lol

Sorry for derailing your thread! Looking forward to hearing what you think of your new bike! I’m sure you’re going to love it!

    Hydra on its way!

The bike also has a automatic CVT transmission, so no shift cables. It has no throttle, so no throttle cable or brake interrupt switch wiring. Thus it has a lot less cabling to deal with from the start……

    Hydra on its way!

The electric cables and brake hoses run inside the handlebar and steering tube and then through the frame. Not something that can be easily done if the bike isn’t designed for it.

I was kinda thinking the same. Here’s an example of the extreme opposite! 🤪

We need to stop blaming victims in bike theft!

You should probably report me then. I’m sure victim blaming is not tolerated on this site. …….make an example of me……
