    Ride1up Roadster Additional Batttery

If I was commuting with the bike being able to remove the battery would help keep the battery from getting damaged from extreme temps and charging off the bike.

    Ride1up Roadster Additional Batttery

The Gravel roadster looks good to me and I would not mind taking the downtube battery out and just wiring up two of the bottle batteries. Commuting I would not want to leave the Bike locked up outside otherwise.

    Rad Mission owners,

I know. It is an aftermarket display that unlocks the controller.

    Rad Mission owners,

The Eggrider looks promising, and the one thing about Rad bikes is there is a large aftermarket for upgrades.

    Rad Mission owners,

Would you buy the bike again? Does the LCD upgrade allow you to change the top speed? How many watts does it read at full power ?Happy with it? LCD or Eggrider? Top speed you have reached? Moderate hill climbing doable or does it struggle?

    Upgrading to hydraulic brakes

You are right. I unwound the wrap and the wires go all the way into the frame. I guess swapping out the calipers will have to do. I have no complaints about stopping power, I did brake tests and average distance was 14ft which is great I think. I have changed pads and still the brakes are loud.

    Single Speed Hub Motor Conversion?

How do those hubs stand up to the elements? I commute so on hot and cold days the bike would be locked up outside for 10 hours at a time. I have read that those hubs are prone to leaks in hot weather.

Hell . I would not know where to even look for that. Would that be plugged into the controller?

    Single Speed Hub Motor Conversion?

So a Tsdz2 with the 42 up front and a 16 in the rear would work? I am not tring to climb mountains just a solid commuter for urban/suburban type riding.

    Display exchange

I believe you will need a new controller and display as they need to have the same communication protocols. Also that motor for the early versions of the 500 were only capable of up to 25mph.

    Upgrading to hydraulic brakes

Hey all, I have a Ride1up Core 5 and I would like to upgrade the brakes if possible and I am not sold on the hybrid caliper thing especially for the price. Are brake cutoffs universal?

    Radmission: Throttle/Drag after applying brakes

That should be easy to replace, I have seen people replace and even upgrade the lights on Rad bikes that are plug and play. How is the bike for you overall?

    Mounting an Abus Frame Lock?

I have a Core 5 and Looking to mount an Abus 5650L frame lock. I did get the adaptor straps but could not for the life of me get it on properly. Has anyone here had success mounting this lock? Would bottle bobs and hose clamps also work?

So no hub motor love huh?

    Single Speed Hub Motor Conversion?

I have thought about that also. I am looking for a second bike as a low maintenance back up. Your builds are sexy by the way.

    Single Speed Hub Motor Conversion?

Defiantly thinking of a 48v system and maybe a 52/16. The 25mph is just a top speed and I would like an average of 18 or so.
