Creo 1, 2 and Creo 2 road spec all back to back

Helpful comparison… thanks. Just wondering if you’ve removed the dropper cable yet and if it’s pulls through easily without any dismantling. I’ve a Creo 2 that should be arriving soon and like you want to be rid of the dropper post. If it’s not a simple pull though I’ll get the shop mechanic to...

That’s fair comment. ‘Horses for Courses’.

    New Schwalbe Tires

I’m a bit like Stefan on this (except that his English is better than mine….and I’m British!!). I have a Creo 1, soon to be joined by a Creo 2. I almost always ride the bike with the power off except on the steepest hills when the aging legs complain, and certainly get exercise, particularly...

    specialized creo 2

I’ve an Expert on order so am looking forward to your review and re your replacement seatpost which is a mod I’ll be doing once I can decide a good shock absorbing carbon replacement. I’m hoping the bike doesn’t arrive at the local Specialized shop too soon as we are going through a cold spell...

    New Schwalbe Tires

I tried the Marathon E Plus some time ago and like you found them extremely challenging to mount on the rims. I have no doubt that they offer excellent flat protection…..possibly the best there is but I had a nagging concern that if one did flat away from home roadside repair would be a...

    specialized creo 2

Thanks Paul. Mine will be expert so I’ll ask the Specialized shop if it’s easy. Yes I’m sure I’ll love the bike ……. Except paying for it but I can’t take it with me and the grandkids would no doubt just spend it on expensive holidays and beer 🤣

    specialized creo 2

Hi WildPaul. I’ve just ordered a Creo 2 and am wondering how easy it is to remove the dropper post. Does the control cable disengage at the post end then just pull through from the bars or is it more complicated? Did you do this yourself or have the dealer sort it? Thanks. Andrew

2022 Vado 4.0 TCD2 MasterMind Color Display Glass Separating

The difference between our screen delaminating response is surprising isn’t it. For me immediate photos sent by Spec shop to Specialized for warranty unit replacement and for you a completely different solution! At least if you do have a problem with it in future you can refer back to when you...

2022 Vado 4.0 TCD2 MasterMind Color Display Glass Separating

The display was successfully changed today…..they had the bike for just 1.5hrs. I didn’t realise that the display and bar control are one unit so that’s new as well. They told me that if it hadn't been done under warranty the cost of parts without labour charges would have been over £500!!! The...

2022 Vado 4.0 TCD2 MasterMind Color Display Glass Separating

My Vado is in Thursday for its free new bike check up when I hope they will be replacing my display as well. I’ll let you know their opinion and whether Specialized agreed the replacement. Trying to re glue yourself sounds like a recipe for a mess and may well make it less likely that you can...

Proper seats/saddles (especially for an e-bike)

Wow Stefan that was some ride!! I totally agree with you re riding position…..upright and a soft saddle are great for short trips but on a long ride usually (for most people) cause all sorts of abrasion issues. Regarding None’s suggestion of changing saddle height we should be aware that an...

2022 Vado 4.0 TCD2 MasterMind Color Display Glass Separating

I’ve got exactly the same…..bottom right corner. Took bike into local Spec shop last week for their advice and they photographed it to send off to Specialized for replacement authorisation. I wondered if it was a screen saver too but didn’t want to start picking at it in case I made things...

Turbo Vado 4.0 questions: range and reliability

Forgot to mention…..I swapped the chainring to a praxis 36, put shorter non riser bars on for a more stretched out position and replaced the tyres with Marathon Efficiency.

Turbo Vado 4.0 questions: range and reliability

I bought a Vado 5 a couple of months ago for a tour. Ferry to Rotterdam for Hull Uk then along the Meuse River until Nancy in France was about due East then turned and returned via the Moselle to Koblenz, then The Rhine back to Rotterdam. Distance was 2000k and we were carrying lightweight camp...

Spare POWERTUBE for Delite 2020: switching that rubber cover?!!!

My dealer in uk thought that R&M were selling the rubber covers to snap on to a new battery but they had to be ordered.......its worth making enquiries. I did manage to remove the cover from a broken battery by prising the rails open then sliding off then it was easy to clip on to the new...

2015 Motiv Sherpa Tire rub on frame

Are you certain its "warped" and not improperly seated in the rim? some tyre/rim combinations can be a pain to get seated properly, and particularly with a tubeless ready rim. often a brief overinflation can make the tyre beads snap into place..

    Powertube Covers

Well found thanks for that! I’m in UK so will check with the bike shop too. I see that’s for the vertical battery but assume there is a version for the horizontal too. Handy for transporting on a bike rack but It looks rather big to take on tour.

    Powertube Covers

Thanks Theguvna........sound like some neoprene and Velcro might be my option for the near future until R&M get themselves sorted!

    Powertube Covers

Hi All Ive got a Supercharger 2 ordered and am wondering how to cover the power tube frame openings when charging on a camp site, or riding with just one battery. Do the rubber battery covers just easily peel off or is there a R&M accessory made for hole covering? Also if buying a non R&M Bosch...
