Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

I too ride my Creo with no assist 90% of the time just saving power for steep hills. Completely stupid I know and I can offer no defence as I know I’m just being ridiculous! 😁. When I ride my 9yr old Rubaix that weighs 8.5k it’s so much easier and faster!! The road bike snobs that claim we...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

My wife has a Vado SL and I have a Creo 2 with the 1.2 motor. Maybe just me but I can’t tell much difference in the whining noises on the bikes. In my view definitely not a game changer. The extra power when pushing up really steep hills with panniers is most welcome though……but of course if you...

    New Creo2

Stefan……Bob: Is your Creo 2 a carbon or aluminium one? Please be very careful what you install on a carbon bike! (For instance, Quick Rack is incompatible with carbon frames but the Tailfin is. Are you sure on this. I’ve been using my quick rack on my carbon Creo for tours. As you know the rack...

Making use of Vado SL rider power data

If you have a Garmin connected to your bike it will use bike transmitted power and heart rate data (from a chest strap or watch) to give an estimate of vo2 max. I find that’s a really useful way to monitor cardio fitness. Even if it’s not entirely accurate (we’d need a sport lab for that) it’s...

    Stefan, Help Needed

I’m also with Stefan for his great advice. With the speed rockers the rear can seem a little short particularly if you are tiding close behind! SKS sell a cheap clip on extender that helps and a flap can be added to that making it spray free. I’ve done several tours with the Quick rack a found...

Creo 2 Tires Alternatives for Road

On my Creo 2 I have Schwalbe Efficiency and have been very impressed. Perhaps they don’t have quite the off road capability of the Pathfinders but roll really well on road. They are tough too. Rolling Resistance Review is a great site to compare tyres and reports on rolling, puncture resistance...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Give in…..and go for the Ortlieb Quick Rack. Clips on in 15 seconds off in 5! Then you can use it when you need it. I have one on my Creo and it fits perfectly. Done a couple of short tours with it too. Get home, rack off and a light bike again 😊.

SKS Speedrockers - A German Example of Ingenuity for Fenders/Mudguards

I too have found the Speedrockers to be very good. The only issue I’ve had is the top front fitting occasionally sliding down the fork a little resulting in tyre rub. Easily solved by putting a tight cable tie beneath it so it can’t slip.

Front Rack - Suspension Forks - No Braze Ons

last summer I toured on my Vado 5 with Ortlieb Fork Packs. They are supplied with fittings for both forks with braze ons or suspension forks with none. They were excellent and typical Ortlieb waterproof and easy on off. the only draw back being the max size is 10 litres each.

Can you tell me if the splitter cable is already in place or needs to be sourced. Also what watts/current lights can be used. Thanks.

Turbo Creo TCU error lights and motor hesitation?

    Thanks for that….really helpful.

Turbo Creo TCU error lights and motor hesitation?

Did You get a dealer to remove main battery or do it yourself? I could be tempted to do that for a tour with a couple of range extenders es when you can’t be certain of access to a power point to recharge overnight.

Don’t forget you can reverse the clamp on the setback version which makes it just 13mm. I’ve got mine now thanks to Dazmans recommendation of a well priced source for those in EU or Uk

    specialized creo 2

Just got an email to say my Creo 2 Expert is now ready at local Specialized shop. Really looking forward to getting it but definitely don’t want to getting wet and filthy on it’s first ride! Just had a 15 mile ride today on my belt drive Rohloff and that’s ideal for the wet and dirt in...

Creo 1, 2 and Creo 2 road spec all back to back

Dazman…thanks for the info on Bikeinn price for the Ergon Allroad seatpost. £169 delivered AT and customs included. An amazing price, at least £50 cheaper than buying in UK! Still a crazy price just for a seatpost….many people would flinch at the idea of paying that for a whole bike!!

Thanks for that info….much appreciated. Ergon it is! 👍. This bike is costing me a fortune 😃

Creo 1, 2 and Creo 2 road spec all back to back

Dazman what do you think about the Ergon seatpost? I was considering the Specialized Terra but now you have me wondering.

Creo 1, 2 and Creo 2 road spec all back to back

Your suspicions are right…I never ride single track! My Creo 2 use will be for touring so I’m hoping that the more relaxed geometry and longer wheelbase (very similar to traditional touring bikes) will make for a more stable comfortable ride. The mounting points on the forks will enable me to...
