Only thing I've swapped in was a Brooks C19 carved. it did not fit well with the stock seatpost/config in general. Still pondering a regular C17. Cambium is serious comfort on long rides usually.
I did swap in Raceface Chesters...
On your seatpost, are you greasing it near where it sits with QR?(in my case i have a tube of park tool Poly 1000, so it's what I used) I find that plus a little tightening on the QR stopped the slippage.
I still plan to replace the clamp -- but to use with Pitlocks. same with the front through...
Are you going with flat bars or just less sweep? I'm just curious what you're switching to if you're willing to share. I had a heckuva time with flatter/MTB bars(Chromag Cutlass) on previous ebikes, found the solution that improved things massively was grip size(ESI racer's edge).
There's so...
I think I finally zeroed in on the whistle. My first tape test was not enough coverage, but it's definitely the outside of motor and motor casing making the whistle between 24-30km/h. I got rather more liberal with the tape(but left the openings clear-ish where the motor meets the frame). Just...
Excellent! I found it really easy to dial in the comfort. Lifted the bars, and turned em a bit....adjusted the seat a little, and done. Definitely a major plus about the bike.
What did you end up tightening to? My tests with the Gates app have me in the right range-ish so I'm leaving tension alone.
Still haven't narrowed down the whistle from wind I keep fighting with, will need an air compressor to be at all accurate in finding it, I think.. It's not the cranks...
Shoot! I'm really sorry to hear about that. I figured it had to be something. Y'all were right on top of things when there weren't these issues. Fraudsters of all things, wow that really stinks. Thank you for being so transparent.
Heh, I saw the mention of the new motor in the other thread...
Yeah, I think their team is stretched a little thin from what I'm seeing. Am waiting on the extra battery I ordered with the bike, but I'm being patient. Been in worse situations thanks to supply chain fun over the pandy, like waiting 18 months for a replacement controller on a previous (not...
I like the config! I'm currently struggling to find a second place for a proper bottle mount. Have a folding lock, and with the bottle cage...nowhere to mount it. If I add the pannier and a cage there... You've given me great ideas. Thank you!
I agree. I don't like the manual shift, because it seems to have to be done in increments. Especially getting into the highest gear. I'm hoping to upgrade to the Automatiq the minute the bugs get worked out with it.
Yeah, that high pitched whine is the same thing I'm hearing and struggling to...
One thing I have noted in these heavy prairie winds: There's a whistle somewhere on the bike. At first I thought it was from the motor, but no. Removed the rear wheel reflector, and still no. seems my search continues. No such noise whatsoever in low wind. Not a big deal, I'll find it eventually.
I'm back in the saddle, and it's really great. So heartening to hear about this long distance action. I assume they've sorted out BMS low voltage cutoff action -- that's a weird thing to get arguing about. Heck they have 2 charge modes and that too is somewhat unusual(unique to me--hasn't been...
Having encountered some show-stopping adversity with the Manual CVT(not to worry, I'm taking it up with support, I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash) -- is there a timeline on the Automatiq support? Upgrading is now something I'm very very keen to do.
Mine arrived today. I could not be more pleased! Thanks to the team for a great bike...and just in time for the long weekend. I will also be testing range: but that's because "ultramile-ing" is totally my thing...the best rides are long rides, I find.
Lucky! Please send along a quick review if you would, I'm dying for more info on how it is. I definitely sat too long. Was vaguely hoping it'd be in my hands next week for Bike-to-work week. We put on a good spread here for it. I can't wait to show off. :P
So...how is it? I have yet to hear back. I assume folks are hard at work building em, so I'm not worried... but I am kicking myself for not ordering earlier.
