    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

I find myself slightly jealous of the center mount display(works better for winter with pogies) and those turn signals seem neat, though by law I would still have use hand signals in Sask.

Winter riding on the Zen Photon.

Exactly what I did! Wish I had opted for that premium shipping now, though. Canada Post still has mine in a warehouse/depot in Winnipeg, LOL.

Winter riding on the Zen Photon.

I'm eventually going to find out. Found a comment somewhere that mentioned up to 2.8 was possible, but required removing fenders. 2.6 apparently didn't? Or at least I hope.

Winter riding on the Zen Photon.

So yeah, have ridden winters on 4" and 4.8" studded fat tire ebikes(beta testing ebikes for a certain local company here). Saskatoon will often have powdery snow topping, hardpack, sheer ice, or cement, or some combo of all 4. Not until late march/april do we get into slushy times usually. Never...

Winter riding on the Zen Photon.

Ah perfect! Mine's got the suspension seatpost, but I've had my eye on the thudbuster for some time now, and am seriously considering it...soon Thanks for the confirmation on studded tire, too!

Winter riding on the Zen Photon.

Having been badly bitten/injured by ice here which is the state of sask roads for much of the time(on another brand of bike with not-these Johnny Watts 365, no complaints about them so far), I'm looking into doing a tire swap to be 100% sure I hurt less this winter. So far, am thinking the...

    ZEN Customer Service

I use https://arkel.ca/products/tailrider-trunk-bag?variant=44262858195193 on mine. Nice that it has the rain cover. I also picked up another of theirs for more versatility, but it's the hanging pannier you said you were not looking for. (the bug, for reference).

Let's talk about the NEW Photon Pro | UL Certified 1040Wh battery | 750W 52V Midmotor | 160 Nm Torque and Throttle

Nice bikes! the center mount display will make for better time winter riding for those who do(pogeys get in the way of the previous iteration, haven't put em on yet though, it's not even cold!) . How much heavier is the new version vs previous?

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

I think the ST is a next riding reason purchase in my case, especially now. I went from the stock seat, to WTB Volt(also a no on this bike), back to Brooks C19 All Weather carved, to the latest change tonight: Brooks C17 All Weather. It's nigh on perfect. Didn't even really notice it was there...

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

ST. I don't need that much travel as I'm still young and only have the elbow injury to contend with so far...and I've read that LT has a bit of bounce even at its stiffest, which is the opposite of what I'm looking for.

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

Yep, if I hadn't broken my elbow a while back in some wondrous way, it'd probably be fine. Might try swapping grips around, but the bars are pretty much just right for me.

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

I'm ogling the Thudbuster ST myself for next season. Word to the wise, get the sleeve for it if you do the same, keeps it clean, I'm told.

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

I did just that right after I posted in terms of reaching out directly. I mean that I cannot shift the entire range, it seems to need to be incremental. Same idea as the limit of 3, but, the way it limits(getting harder to turn) seems to be what bugs my arm.

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

I don't like it because I do not have the full range of shifting at any one time based on how it's designed. It's less effective to me than a regular stepped shifter. Also, have an injury that gets annoyed at the frequent twist. edit: And I was expecting to retrofit based on what what I was...

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

Is the automatiq going to be an option? Seems to have been mentioned a while back...and I was told it might be available directly...but now I see the new bike version is the focus? I'm really not a fan of the manual shifter after a full season of riding. Will eventually move on from this bike...

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

I agree. It lasts and lasts for me at 80% for tooling around the city here, but needing to be on the bike is a limiting factor logistically if I was shooting for 100% range(in some cases - I'd need to bring the bike into motels and such, which I don't think is a problem most places).... Since...

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

Still a wee bit of tape. Probably something else could be used, but had this on hand.

    Zen Photon Pro- Preorder | 1040Wh UL Certified battery | 500W nominal/900W peak power Torque-sensing motor w/ Throttle | USD 2999 | CAD 3999

Interesting question, I'll test this after my rides today. I had thought one could set it for long range then power down and remove the battery(I only charge with it removed). Then it resets to the default long life. I did also eliminate my whistle, and it wasn't the motor ultimately. Took the...

Zen Electric Bikes Survey - With approval from Ravi

I would, but required fields for Gender and Income as written kinda make me shy away. Why are those needed?
