Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

I faced the same question, and I opted for the Rohloff for our steep grades in Northern California. (My bike will finally arrive this coming Thursday!) But for me, the decision was only between Enviolo and Rohloff because I eliminated the chain to avoid the maintenance and grease issues. I...

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

Here is a short video by a Superdelite GT Enviolo rider in Luxembourg climbing a 20% grade and puffing all the way in the lowest gear and highest assist level. He recommends getting the Rohloff to anyone who intends to climb steep grades on a regular basis. The written comments below this...

    Nice! Is the difference noticeable?

New Bosch Gen 4 motor soft wear update

If you scroll down near the page bottom, you will see a table of all Bosch motors and the amount of torque. For the Performance Speed motor, it shows 85 nm in Turbo mode, which would read 75 nm if the update did not apply.

New Bosch Gen 4 motor soft wear update

Yes, the update applies also to Performance Speed motors. I asked and then received an official Tweet from Bosch eBike Systems saying this:

Removing rear wheel with belt drive...puncture avoidance and field flat repair strategies

I have watched YouTube videos about doing this, which make it appear easy. But I don't have the links right now. Sorry.

Removing rear wheel with belt drive...puncture avoidance and field flat repair strategies

Am I the only person here who is totally amazed by the GAADI tube with 2 ends?? I never heard of this product, and it looks like a perfect solution for replacing a tube without needing to remove the wheel. Has anyone here had a problem with this GAADI tube? If I don't see negative reports, I...

    R&M SD Config

FYI, if you happen to like Komoot for all the trail information that others have stored publicly, you might also have a look at the AllTrails app. I have found that AllTrails contains trail information that isn't in Komoot, and vice versa. No doubt other similar apps exist as well.

    2019–2020 R&M Homage : Riders' Impressions

What brand and model is that nice looking bag on the back? I assume that the bag and your rack are MIK standard, correct?

Superdelite modifications - a few ideas

You're right, it can't be any clearer than that! Then, according to the following video from Bosch, that port is ALSO used for charging the Kiox when it is off the bike! That link should start at 47 seconds where you need to stop the video immediately and read the text on the screen. "The USB...

    Tracking Number

Thanks. Is that number useful to me? Can I go online and see the status of the build?

Superdelite modifications - a few ideas

If you are talking about the connector on the Kiox, I think that is for CHARGING THE KIOX when it is off the bike! It is not for charging your devices from the Kiox. At least, that's what I got from one of the recent Kiox YouTube videos. Check if I'm right.

FYI - that help was from @lloydt, not from me (@John2911). I am still waiting for my SD delivery!

How to switch off my superdelite HS lights?

Chris Nolte, owner of Propel Bikes in NYC and Long Beach, Calif, has said that an authorized R&M dealer in the U.S. can configure the lights to be switchable by the bike rider. If your local store won't or can't, perhaps contact Propel and ask if they will walk another dealer through the...

Removing rear wheel with belt drive...puncture avoidance and field flat repair strategies

Ha! But what I saw was something like, they should be replaced every so many miles, like 2,000 miles? Maybe I am wrong about that.

Removing rear wheel with belt drive...puncture avoidance and field flat repair strategies

I'm all for it and very interested in it. BUT... I have also heard that these Tannus inserts wear out and must be replaced regularly. That means going through the tire change routine to swap in a new Tannus insert, perhaps more often than a flat would happen? At least, the replacement could...

Superdelite modifications - a few ideas

Here's the page with the front bag discussion. Thanks for more great modification ideas. I never heard of the "Knog Cobber" light. What model did you get? Looks like you went for the 170 lumens. Nobody should miss seeing that one!

Superdelite modifications - a few ideas

Fantastic post! Thanks for those customization suggestions with pictures, and that coast to coast ride looks like a wonderful first tour! My wife and I have looked into similar UK biking tours and would love to join you, but we can't make the trip from California anytime soon. Not much could be...
