The Ultimate Mid-Drive Chain Care Thread

My son is on the other side of the equation. He is on his 3rd chain/cassette on his 2022 Giant Talon E+. I've ridden with him a few times and man... he shifts under heavy load! I believe I have cured him of this disease now (along with the bills from LBS). 🤣

Wahoo ELEMNT vs. Garmin EDGE (as E-Bike GPS Displays)

From the Garmin manual for my 530... Temperature Readings The device may display temperature readings that are higher than the actual air temperature if the device is placed in direct sunlight, held in your hand, or is charging with an external battery pack. Also, the device will take some time...

How do I order a replacement chain

I think I'd email KMC. If they supplied the original chain they should know.

How do I order a replacement chain

I "think" Rust Buster is a KMC brand name, so I'd look for a 9 speed KMC 128 link

    New from Atlanta

Cheers! It's happy as a clam on gravel, although like any bike the really loose stuff can be an "adventure". :D

The Future of eBikes: How Fast is Too Fast?

As an eMTB/trail/road/SUV type rider I don't have a problem with any group per se. I do however have a problem with idiots and aholes. Those come in all colours, apparel, and choice of steed. Now that I think about it, that includes pedestrians and motorists... :)

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Yeah, I hear ya mate. Sorry to hear you weren't up for it. I almost caved but yesterday was gorgeous and I "wasted" it doing chores. Couldn't stand the idea of a repeat performance, so picked a route with little to no hills. Ride vids are good too, but 33%?!!??? Holy carp! :D

6 year old Giant LaFree battery question

Sounds like a connection issue to me. Maybe try some electrical contact cleaner spray on the battery and terminals on the bike. If that doesn't help I'd take it to the shop and have them diagnose. Could be loose wiring.

Today I was feeling a bit bushed, but to heck with that. Weather was dayum fine pushing 20C so set off in long pants and t-shirt with fingerless gloves. Felt like heading East on the road with Bear Creek Park as the destination. I like checking out the local community garden on the way...

Need help sourcing a part for RIdeControl Dash (2024 Stance E+)

Argh... I highly doubt that will be a part you can source. Maybe do a search here https://www.giantbikespares.com/browse_by_model/2021-Stance-E-plus--2-29er Or try emailing Giant directly?

    E-Gravel Bike…Looking for Advice

There's a stretch on one hill I often climb that is 19 - 21% and thankfully it's short! Most of it is 10 - 15%

    Anybody tried Clik tire valves?

There are Clik adapters for Schrader, and also Presta tubes with removable cores, so you can get there. Haven't seen straight up tubes with Clik yet, as @Mr. Coffee alludes...
