Truck Bed Rack - 2 Ebikes with Fenders

I carry an etrike and two ebikes in my Ford Ranger truck bed using a two piece rack I made with 1x4's and 1x2's. It is a tight fit, but with a couple of cinch straps to keep them from bouncing around, they ride very secure. This thread contains a few pictures taken at the time I was working on...

    Girl Talk

Well, I am a male (both biologically and by identity:)) so I hope you don't object to me posting. My wife was the first in our family to buy an ebike in 2017. She selected the 2017 Blix Aveny. She picked a color they called "Racing Green" rather than the cream color shown in this picture. It...

    Bosch Warranty Service Lacking

Thanks Stephen for replying and letting us know the status. AWOL = absent without leave, a term usually used when a member of the military abandons his/her post or fails to return from a leave. I look forward to seeing future posts from the Bosch Team as time permits.

    Water Bottles

RAGBRAI 2022 commences on July 24 in Sergeant Bluff, IA and ends on July 30 at Lansing, IA ... 462 miles. (https://ragbrai.com/). Even if I had a way to keep a full charge on my ebike and didn't drink ANY beer (unlikely), it is way more than I am capable of doing.

    Bosch Warranty Service Lacking

I wonder if Bosch has prohibited them from participating. I know some other companies have policies that prohibit employees from participating in forums or acknowledging that they are company employees if they do.

    Bosch Warranty Service Lacking

I really appreciated the participation by the Bosch team on this forum. I hope they haven't all abandoned us.

Popular Trail Segment in Iowa Closed by Vehicle Accident.

In case anyone runs across this thread, I rode this trail on June 7, 2022 and I can report that the overpass bridge has been replaced by the county so this segment of the Cedar Valley Nature trail is open.

SHOW us YOUR PIX here .... Odd, WeiRd ,UnUSuAl or EyE CaTchIng things from your rides

How does the torque sensing compare to the Bosch system? Does it give you a natural feeling assist like the Bosch drive train does? Also, do you miss having the functions of the Bosch Nyon display?

Sena has "dumbed down" the Sena R1 Evo helmet.

The 1.0 firmware was pretty awful, but the voice commands worked very well after they updated the firmware. We use the voice commands all the time. The only issue I still have is with some false positives on the "trigger" command which is "Hello Sena". Sometimes ambient noise triggers it and you...

Sena has "dumbed down" the Sena R1 Evo helmet.

I have owned 4 Sena R1 Evo helmets for a couple of years and we love using the mesh intercom system when riding. I decided to add a 5th R1 Evo to my collection for times when a "guest" joins our riding group. This has happened in the past and that person always feels "left out" as the rest of us...

    Nyon MY21 - Initial Thoughts

Doesn't Nyon use a barometric altimeter rather than map elevation data to calculate elevation change? I am pretty sure my first generation Nyon does because I need to calibrate it with the starting elevation every time I start a ride.

How many ebikes do you have?

Three for me ... as listed in my signature. The Blix was my wife's first ebike, but she had to switch to the Evelo Compass trike after a few falls and because of her health. We decided to keep her old Blix Aveny for guests. It is still in great shape, works as well is it did when new even though...

@Roamers ... Have fun! I look forward to hearing your report of how it goes.

Is Bosch off on its speed calculations?

I tried changing the circumference setting on my Gazelle. It seemed to me that it didn't fully correct the displayed speed (still showed 1 or more MPH faster than was showing on my Garmin Oregon), but it did change the odometer reading for trip milage compared to what the Oregon recorded. I put...

    RAGBRAI 2022

Someone needs to start a "sag wagon" recharging/battery replacement service. Otherwise, I just don't see how ebikes are viable for the whole RAGBRAI route. Iowa summer heat/humidity makes RAGBRAI a grueling ride most every day and finding a way to recharge batteries in the small towns every...

The Gazelle Arroyo Is Back and being marketed to old people

This old fart still loves his "classic" 2017 Arroyo, Mine is the model with the front light integrated into the fender and the clear plastic pannier guards.
