    NEW SONDORS LX

If you'll note there's no Sondors branding on the red LX static photo. While it's possible it's a custom paint job, I'd bet money that's a photoshopped image rather than a picture of a red LX.

    NEW SONDORS LX

Besides COVID, there’s a shortage of shipping containers in China. The port of LA is full and has over 30 ships at anchor waiting to get to the docks to be unloaded. Normal count of ships at anchor is 0 to 1. The port is handling record numbers of containers. Floods in Europe and China have an...

How much has your ebike replaced your car?

So what do they do if they get a flat in a cage (aka car)? You either fix the flat yourself or have a shop fix it... same as you would on an ebike. You can (depending on location) even call AAA to "tow" your bike: https://member.acg.aaa.com/tn/membership/bicycle-service.html

Thank you for sharing this. I've got an LX on order for September delivery and will adjust my expectations accordingly.

    Step-Thru first impressions

It's normal for cadence based ebikes to have a lag on starting and when you quit pedaling. If the lag when stopping pedaling is an issue, you can just tap the brakes enough for the motor cutoff to engage.

    Have you tried cowboy coffee?

I was about to ask, "Which one?" But honestly... does it really matter given the ladies in the photo?

    Have you tried cowboy coffee?

You might want to try an AeroPress: https://aeropress.com/ You can buy them from online retailers (such as Amazon) or locally (i.e. Target/Walmart). Besides using one at home (along with other methods to make coffee), I carried an AeroPress with a Trangia alcohol stove, Evernew titanium stove...

    Accessories that didn’t work out?

Excellent info. Thank you! I have several portable USB battery banks here I can use. Since the RTL515 is mounted on the back of the rack of my Sondors MXS, it'll be easy to slip in a spare battery into the bag and connect a short USB cable to the Garmin radar.

    Have you tried cowboy coffee?

As suggested in the video, reheating coffee is not a good idea as it severely affects the taste. Putting cold coffee in a microwave is the way to get a bitter cup of coffee. When using cold brew to make a hot cup of coffee, you boil the extra water only and add cold brew to it. Microwaving...

    Accessories that didn’t work out?

I spent too much on my Garmin setup for my needs, but because of the radar unit it's worth every single penny. The Garmin Radar really shines on backroads. Busy multi-lane highways and city riding gives too many (constant) alerts. My biggest gripe with the Varia RTL515 radar/light unit is...

    NEW SONDORS LX

Does anyone have recent experience receiving an LX? I have to wonder how accurate Sondors shipping estimates are given the current shortages of bike parts globally.

The Aosom Wanderer is also available in a bike hitch model (rather than seat post attached): https://www.aosom.com/item/aosom-wanderer-folding-bicycle-storage-cart-cargo-and-luggage-trailer-with-hitch~B4-0008.html I considered the Wanderer and chose the slighgtly more expensive Wike heavy-duty...

Average Cruising Speed on your e-bike

That depends on your local laws. Some locations allow you to change the class of your bike through the display settings (and a class sticker) while others use a database of bike classifications of how it's setup from the factory. It's always a good idea to check the laws in your area.

Average Cruising Speed on your e-bike

In large part it will depend on the bike and it's gearing. I have a Sondors MXS that with my out of shape body can sustain 27MPH with power assist level all the way up without great effort, but I have to pedal quick or else I'm just "ghost pedaling" with the motor doing all the work which will...

    Bike trailer

I bought one of the Wike Flatbed trailers: https://wicycle.com/products/bike-trailers/heavy-duty-flatbed I also went a little overboard and bought 2 each of Rubbermaid Brute 14-gallon and 20-gallon totes. That is more cargo space then I'll likely ever use at one time, but can mix and match...
