    Question on 'dropped chain'?

I just ordered the Creo chain guide to see if I can make it work on my Vado SL. For $10, I thought I'd give it a try. I'll post the results after I receive it and try fitting it.

Has anyone ridden both a Vado 4.0 and a Vado 5.0 and can compare?

I'm interested in this comparison too as I want to get a step-through for my wife. But I gotta think there is a discernible difference between 70nm and 90nm. That plus the better fork is what gets my attention. The radar and better headlight, no so much.

What to adjust after raising handlebar height?

Also, being as your handlebars have a bit of rise, you can rotate them forward or aft to find the most comfortable position. Cool looking bike, by the way!

What to adjust after raising handlebar height?

Because the bars are raised, his lean will be less of an angle than before.

What to adjust after raising handlebar height?

Maybe there is a happy medium between your original position and the new raised position. It does take some trial and error. I went through this on my Levo and bought two different length stems and one set of bars with a different sweep angle and rise before it felt comfortable.

What to adjust after raising handlebar height?

When you raise the bars, you shorten the reach due to the headtube angle. You could get a longer stem to increase the reach and keep your raised bars were you like them.

Wow-Prices are down on E-Bikes on Specialized site!

Bought a Vado SL 4.0 two months ago and now it's $500 less. It stings a little especially since I bought it earlier than I financially wanted to as I was afraid the Spring Sale might end before I was ready. Oh well.......

Best Places In Northern California To Cruise?

I'm curious, why don't you just skip over the thread and not replay, especially since it seems to get under your skin?

How to fill battery bolt holes on Specialized Creo after removing battery?

I'd buy a couple of bumper plugs down at the auto supply store and install them with a little silicone.

    Nasty decals

If it's just aluminum, not paint, try 3M Adhesive Remover in the spray can.

How to turn off Specialized Turbo Vado SL EQ Lights?

Here's a thread about installing a switch and it seems fairly easy: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/headlight-switch-for-vado-sl.51329/

    Turbo Vado SL 5.0 - Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss 700x47

I was out in the garage, so I took out the calipers and took several measurements. The smallest of the three clearance spots on my bike is on the chainstay where it is indented for the wheel, on the chain side, next to the weld. With the 42's there is 0.38" sidewall clearance. There was 0.475"...

    Turbo Vado SL 5.0 - Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss 700x47

Ah! Just saw your SRAM link and played around with it. It looks like there is an 8 psi difference between the two tire sizes for me. Probably the weight difference between us. It also suggests that I could run lower pressures which I might try. Thanks!

    Turbo Vado SL 5.0 - Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss 700x47

I ran 80 psi w/tubes, the max limit stated on the 38 tire. I run 65 psi tubeless, the max stated on the 42 tire. So, 15 psi difference. This is on a SL 4.0 with me at 235lbs. I don't have any knowledge on the SRAM recommendation as I haven't any idea what that even is!

    Turbo Vado SL 5.0 - Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss 700x47

Specialized Support page for the Vado SL states that 42 is the largest tire you can put on it.... for what it's worth. The Pathfinder Pro has been out everywhere in my neck of the woods also, but the LBS had the S-Works Pathfinder 42. I went ahead and bought those as they're only an additional...

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

A lot of the stores don't show their inventory. That Carmel store and the Santa Cruz store both show bikes in stock on the Specialized site but their own sites don't list inventory of any of their bikes. If those are closer for you, give them a call tomorrow to confirm. I think it comes down to...

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

Never felt like you were being negative, just trying to find a bike. Pay no attention to that person. We're both new here and simply trying to have a positive experience.

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

Warranty is through Specialized so most any store should take care of you. Also, there are Specialized centers run by them. I know there's one in Sac, SF and I think Santa Cruz. I bought a Levo two years ago from a different shop than where I have work done on it. Nice shop, nice people and...

    Buying/Configuring a Vado

Have you changed up the zip code when you search? That's what I did when looking. And that's how I found the Davis store. I had to do a minor road trip to Davis myself. In some way. it made getting the bike more special and exciting but then I'm easily amused! Good luck......
