Anyome tried a Racktime Shine Evo IMM on their non Turbo Vado SL 4.0

I got the Light It 2.0 and it came with everything except the seat collar. When I researched it, there was quite a few racks that had specs that looked like they would work. But I wanted a smaller rack as I don't carry much. I used a Specialized Rear Rack Seat Collar (pic). I used the 29.8 with...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Here's what I posted in the other thread: I installed the Creo SL Chain Guide today on my Vado SL. The Vado SL's motor mounting bolt hole is recessed too deep for the chain guide to simply bolt on as the guide is larger than the hole and the frame doesn't have a flat surface either. I had two...

I installed a Racktime rack using a seat post collar from Specialized. I found Racktimes website really helpful because they have schematics with all the measurements available.

I'm curious, where was there no clearance? Was it at the top of the tire? Sidewall? Mudguard to tire? TIA

    Question on 'dropped chain'?

I just used the supplied fasteners. The chainguide comes with a new motor bolt that has a threaded ID and the screw that comes with it to mount the chainguide. The screw still had about 6mm of engagement with the spacers. I used blue thread locker.

The Vado SL's motor mounting bolt hole is recessed too deep for the chain guide to simply bolt on as the guide is larger than the hole and the frame doesn't have a flat surface either. I had two nylon spacers laying around and they were a...

Sounds like a Specialized Tero X 5.0 or 6.0 would fill the bill. What's your price range?

    50T Creo Chainring

"Garb. has a reputation for good quality, but in my experience delivery to US can take months." I ordered a Garbaruk June 22 and received the tracking number on July 20. Tracking shows it received in Sacramento today, so maybe two more days to get to me. So that's a little over a month for me.

Encinitas City Council declares emergency for e-bikes, bicycles

The pool based percentage figure doesn't matter. Perhaps, it does to folks that want to have statistical arguments. The mere fact that the pool has grown with accompanying deaths albeit without an increase per capita of ebikers is what matters. Simple fact, the number of bikers is up and the...

Tape was black and used Stans as well. It's a new bike purchased just this March. Never thought about the nipples being stuck due to the sealant. Learn 'sumptin' every day!

OEM wheels on 2023 Turbo Vado SL are tubeless ready

I posted this on the other Vado 40. Wheel Durability thread: The Specialized support page states, "All models of the Vado SL come with tubeless compatible rims. Note that Vado SL 4.0 models use a tubeless ready rim strip even though not called out specifically on rim tape by manufacturer." I...
