    Very limited power needed?

I think maybe this from the EggRider manual explains it: LIMITED CURRENT (A) Represents the global current limit in ampers (A). This sets the power level that the drive unit will pull from the battery pack. Be aware that just because it is set lower, it does not mean that it may not draw more...

    Very limited power needed?

    Good idea, thank you!

    Very limited power needed?

Yeah, I've been watching the EggRider screen when I pedal and the amps max out at whatever I had set them to.

    Very limited power needed?

Thank you. I didn't use the throttle at all. I don't plan to use the throttle much. I haven't done much else with the settings. I set the speed limit to 32 km per hour. I will take a few mile ride this evening and see what stats I can find.

    Very limited power needed?

Hey everyone! Long time no post. That's a good thing. My ebike has been working great. (Trek Marlin 5 with a Bafang BBS02 mid-drive kit, 48V, Jumbo Shark Battery) I am planning a 55 mile journey on it for Friday of this week, so I've been tweaking the settings. I want to use as little battery...

    Now helping a friend!

Ok interesting. I will see what he wants to do. I imagine he doesn't want to give up the coaster brake. Front brakes only on an ebike sounds dangerous.

    Now helping a friend!

Thank you. It does have a front rim brake and rear coaster brake. So you can't keep the coaster brakes if you do a mid drive kit?

    Now helping a friend!

Hey everyone. My ebike is working great...so now of course my friend wants help converting his bike to a mid drive ebike! He has an Electra Townie Balloon 3i and the specs online just say it has a "sealed cartridge" bottom bracket - from the best I can tell that would work well and uses a pretty...

    Planned build

There's been a lot of hiccups, but the build ended up fine. I needed some spacers for the chainring to keep it from rubbing into the frame. I have both of these spacers on it: https://california-ebike.com/shop/spacer-lekkie-02-chainring-2mm/...

    Connectors and Voltage

Great points. Thanks. Yeah, I knew this whole thing was a risk. :) I used to like casinos, now I do stuff like this for thrills. Haha

Yeah I will check with Amazon directly at this point.

    Connectors and Voltage

Well then there's issues with shipping batteries back because of the shipping challenges. I don't think they take returns of batteries at all. So that's the root of it. It's a mess.

    Connectors and Voltage

I guess maybe I will try the "motor only" exchange but I had opened the motor as well to try to fix the problem, and I am concerned they'd try to ding me for that if they notice! I'm just so over it.

    Connectors and Voltage

Thanks man. Well Greenergia seller offered me a refund for everything but the battery, and I'd have to send it all back, or they'd exchange the motor only. Neither sound like a good option to me. I wanted a refund for just the motor and to keep the rest. I've used glue and such to attach things...

    Connectors and Voltage

Well, I heard from California Ebike today, on Easter Sunday, so maybe I can't blame Good Friday for them not being around this past Friday. They said that I do NOT want to run the 48V motor on a 36V battery, and that the connectors aren't compatible. With a few other things in mind, I decided...

    Connectors and Voltage

LOL. Yeah, it's crazy, and I came in not being someone who knew anything about bikes. But I'm learning a lot. I also have non ebikes I am messing with. I had people from Facebook give me 6 bikes in various states of ruin and I've been tinkering. It's fun.

    Connectors and Voltage

I am pretty sure California Ebikes told me a few weeks ago that all the motors are pretty much the same with different programming, so I'll see if they tell me to just program it differently with the Eggrider. They promised they'd take care of me when I told them I wanted the new motor from...

    Connectors and Voltage

Well, I am wondering, if I use the EggRider to tell it I have a 36V battery, won't it take care of it? (I think I am going to exercise more patience than I am used to and wait to talk to California Ebikes, but it's fun to talk about anyway)

    Connectors and Voltage

Thank you all for the help so far. Also, I have an EggRider. I think I can use that to set the battery voltage and it should be smart enough to control everything?
