    Hello from Seattle

Welcome from the Olympic Peninsula. I myself, am looking for a Radwagon 1.

Best ebike conversion kits to a stock Raleigh 3 speed.

Might want to measure the distance between your front forks. Like as EMGX alluded, a narrow motor might be hard to find, but they have got to be out there. I am not a fan of the TSDZ2, at least at 36v, but any mid-drive more than that will destroy your hub. I think a front hub motor on a classic...

Best ebike conversion kits to a stock Raleigh 3 speed.

Best to do a front hub motor on a vintage 3-speed, as indianajo suggested.

    Putting her to the test

Shift down and pedal up hill. You don't need to burn up your muscles, that's what the gears are for -- to ease the load. It helps to have, and ride by an amp or watt meter on an ebike. You add leg power to reduce battery draw, which increases your assist range. i

    Cursed by the E-bike gods

The QR axle is a bit short so it can clamp the axle into the dropout. Just how short is the question.

Do we have a Franken bike thread?

Franken friggin' ebikes dudes! We gotta get this thread back on track.

    Cursed by the E-bike gods

QR axles tend to be a bit short in the dropouts, sometimes catching just 3mm.

Do we have a Franken bike thread?

This is my most fraken bike to date. A TSDZ2b on a bike that came out of a pile of junk bike stuff, and it has my first battery build:

    Juiced Closing Up Shop?

The gavel fell at $1.2 million for Juiced: https://electrek.co/2024/10/16/famed-e-bike-company-gone-bankrupt-sells-to-mystery-buyer-for-1-2m/

    2025 Vado

From what you describe of your fitness level you would appreciate 500 watts of power. I'm older, but a lifelong cyclist and have no cardio/respiratory issues. I can do my rides with 250 watts max power, but on the hills I'm more comfortable climbing with a higher wattage. It's my knees that...

    Juiced Closing Up Shop?

Last I checked it was above $800k for the total remains of Juiced, so maybe the company will live again.

    Juiced Closing Up Shop?

Well, the bid for everything is now at $355k. That's one expensive Sprinter van!

    Juiced Closing Up Shop?

Yeah, it would be cool to get a Sprinter van at a decent price with an ebike company included. You would need the van to haul all your new intellectual property rights around.

    Juiced Closing Up Shop?

It looks like you can bid $11k at the moment and buy everything and have your own ebike company, and you get a 2021 Sprinter van! What could go wrong? It will be interesting to see the bidding tomorrow.

I don't feel safe about this....

Maybe so, but they already have gone to an upgrade, the thru-axle.

Cadence question.... A "skip" when pedaling on my left foot?

I've had problems with torque sensing PAS. Due to right knee pain I put less force on that leg. I've learned to make the stronger left leg pedal at right leg force. Seemed to help. As you have cadence PAS maybe your rotational speed briefly differs because one leg isn't peadling as well. Other...

    Help choosing folding ebike please

Here's my Huffy Oslo folder, it was under $400 incuding shipping and tax. Though it needed to be "fixed" with a new controller, freewheel and derailluer, so more like $500. It's under 40 pounds and fits in the boot of my VW Golf with luggage. What I want to say is get one that folds for where...

    Show your cockpit

On one of my bikes I put the Mirracycle mirror in, per the Stephan stlye. On the other bike it's oriented outwards. The outward mounted mirror has better visibility, the inward mounted one doesn't get knocked around. So, I guess it's a personal prefrence thing.

Upgrade of Huffy Oslo folding ebike

Thanks Harry. Not a bad price, as the battery seems to be a weak link for some. I have 3 Oslo batteries, and 2 chargers. I have had an issue with one of the batteries, though it is my opinion that the root of that problem was one of the cheap chargers overcharging. I do have some ability to...
