I thought Google Maps rely on municipalities, etc. to report updates to their bike paths/bike friendly streets while Garmin and Strava use rider data to tell you where people are riding. Seems to me that users data is more reliable than government/bureaucratic processes.

Signed up for Strava, checked the route in question in Global Heatmap and saw that 32nd is a heavily biked route, all the way. Exactly what I wanted to know, thx a ton.

@Deeps - was astounded at all the bikes casually leaning against buildings - do they even sell bike locks in France? I can only wish it was that way in the US.

In the Denver areas we have 100s of bike/multi-use trails, but most of them are disconnected. I haven't ridden roads in decades and worry about safety, as I'm sure others do. There are several trails I'd like to work out loops for and wonder what roads most bikers use/think safe. It sounds like...

My Magnum Metro display shows everything I want to track except altitude. Does anyone have a recommendation for a separate altimeter? A watch type would be good or even just something to carry/strap on bike. NOT looking for super expensive models, don't really need multi function.

Ran into a Metro+ owner at the e-lbs Sat who had this problem. He added an extra fender strut higher on the fender for support - and ended up with the bags rubbing on his brake caliper. Looking realistically at my usage, rather than pursue a possible problem I'm just going with a Topeak trunk...

Love design, no idea of bike specs/performance. Color scheme, leather panniers remind me of those Grand Touring cars from the 40s, all leather and burled walnut with fitted custom luggage.

I have the Nashbar Townies on my reg bike, very similar looking but solid other than mesh, they're ok but the velcro top straps don't hold with much of a load.
