My LBS told me they could raise the stem for me (I want to go with different handlebar as well, more sweep back) but it would require re-cabling, said they've done it before - there's not much play in them now. Guess I should check with Magnum.

My favorite place to finish off a ride, the patio of REI/Starbucks at Confluence Park. West facing, perfect with a latte on a cloudy but warm winter day.

So I'm sorta in both camps with my Magnum Metro.

No idea how well it works but I saw a suggestion of using zip ties around the wheels, about every other spoke, as studs. Cut them off leaving just a stub to act as a spike.
