    Second hand Creo Battery

the creo Facebook groups (there are two, maybe three) might be a good place. quite a few European members there.

    Any Ebike light battery recommended?

its a nice kickstand, but still a detriment to the clean lines of your yellow Vado! useful, absolutely! my commuter with child seat sports one as well, as does my daughter’s Sirrus. I am working on a custom project and looking into a cargo style stand, symmetrical, and under the chainstays, in...

Inner tubes. Our friend AND enemy.

why would you buy a tube from lectric? they obviously don’t make them, they don‘t say who makes them, they don’t describe them in any way, and appear to charge several times the cost of a quality tube from a known, reputable manufacturer.

    Any Ebike light battery recommended?

there are no good looking kickstands. for some types of bikes they are a necessary evil. the symmetrical ones for cargo bikes look better, potentially, but heavy and don’t fit most bikes.

    DJI Neo Drone

my original unmanned aerial vehicles were hexacopters, try telling people you're into flying those! a what?!?

    DJI Neo Drone

the bottom line is that whether you ”like” them or not, you do not own the airspace over your property. imagine if everyone did - how could we have aviation, whether for passengers, freight, civil defense, meteorology, science, whatever. United airlines would have to get permission from 100,000...

    Bicycle-related kinetic sculptures

this is a good one. you have to use four buttons (compress and extend left or right thigh) to try and turn the cranks. it’s surprisingly hard https://www.reddit.com/r/bicycleculture/s/T9kNxcullK

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

i don’t think it’s only on the UK. i’ve seen reference in quite a few places to them using shimano motors on a few more recent bikes. i guess it’s like specialized and brose/mahle, they have some leverage and use whichever supplier or manufacturer is the better fit or better deal. i don’t think...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

they’ve used both yamaha and shimano for other syncDrive bikes, sources say. mostly yamaha. it’s a bigger battery in the avail but it ought to be lighter. the addict rc eride is 10.5kg in a normal size….

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

mahle and other reputable lightweight high drive manufacturers use this “equivalency” in their marketing. the logic is that typically a mid drive is actually geared up quite a bit, say a 42 tooth chain ring and the middle cog of the cassette, which might be 18 or 20 teeth. so the torque at the...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

hub drive gets you closer to the look, feel, and drivetrain of non-electric modern road bike. narrower q factor, standard cranks and bottom brackets, 2x options, no motor stres on the drivetrain, often lighter weight by 3lb or so. road bikes don’t usually go up 20% grades so the hill climbing...

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

the squared off fatter down tube, eh. not a good look. obviously it would be even bigger visually if rounder. it’s an odd bike, huge battery for long commutes or something, but carbon to save a few pounds?

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

that’s not stupid, it’s the best way to ride for fun! it’s not like you’re racing for money. use your body as much as possible and the motor as little :)

    Angry Acoustic Karens

Technically, he is correct - the mill valley - sausalito path prohibits class 3 ebikes. https://www.parks.marincounty.org/parkspreserves/parks/mill-valley-sausalito-pathway#:~:text=Keep%20right%2C%20pass%20left.,Keep%20moving. Will 700x47c Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss Ready tyres fit on a Turbo Vado SL 5?

that’s interesting, i add sealant waaaay less often than that (on 28-32mm road tires). i wonder what the variable is?

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

also unsure why they use numbers instead of names for the more urban bikes. tarmac, roubaix, creo, aethos, allez, diverge, crux, stumpjumper, levo, levo sl, enduro, rockhopper, etc etc etc all use a similar naming system : sport comp expert pro s-works from least expensive to most. sometimes...

Will 700x47c Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss Ready tyres fit on a Turbo Vado SL 5?

i don't really agree with that. i do agree with the not-magic part :) the vast majority of small urban flats simply are not even noticed with tubeless. little nicks and bits of wire or glass just seal up right away, and there is no work moved to home or the shop, there's just one less ride...

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

the benefit is really in range, i think, which was never really an issue for me on the creo 1 but i could see how a "supercommuter" might benefit from it. outside of certain kinds of racing it's really pretty rare to see people do 100+ mile rides on flat bar bikes, so the use cases for the...

Should I Buy A Pedal Wrench?

this only happens when there isn’t enough grease on the threads when installed! happened to me once, with carbon cranks no less. threads were completely dry.
