Who's the oldest and youngest rider here?

Normally, when it comes to technology, old folks lag behind the younger generation but going by the replies here, e-bike use and ownership seems to be an exception.

2020 Riese & Müller Load Review

Fyi, Bay Village, Boston. Again, fyi, obstructing a sidewalk is illegal in every city on this planet. If you live in an apartment, even if you have an elevator, your only choice might be to leave your precious, expensive bike in the street where it can easily to be loaded at the back of a truck...

    Am I particularly unlucky?

I ask this question because during the first 10,000 miles on my e-bike I had to replace almost every item on my e-bike apart from the frame. I've had to replace the Brose T motor twice, went through 3 sets of tires, multiple brake pads, three sets of crank arms, replaced saddle and pedals...

2020 Riese & Müller Load Review

I disagree. Not the sidewalks where we city dwellers live. With the size of this bike, you're just as likely to get stuck in traffic as a car. EBike Shaming

As a European I cannot fathom how ownership of lethal weapons capable of killing scores of innocent people is not frowned at but ebike ownership is disapproved of and seen as not the proper thing to own or use.

    National parks = eBikes

And henceforth, bears, wolves and other wild animals that can run over 20 mph will eat well.

    Correlation between speed and death

"---so it's not automatically unsafe to go over 20 mph on a bike. That said I crashed on an icy bridge on my ebike last year at about 22mph and my head (wearing a helmet) went into a fence post and I fractured 3 cervical vertebrae'. You're quite right but, it's definitely safer to go at 10 mph...

    Correlation between speed and death

Yes, absolutely tragic and in most cases, avoidable.

    Correlation between speed and death

You're wrong. If you read what I said again, you'll see that I said "stupidity ...kills".

    Correlation between speed and death

Speed kills. Lack of proper infrastructure kills. Lack of investment kills. Stupidity on the part of the cyclists and other road users kill. Unfortunately, the only way politicians take notice is when more of us perish.
