    Places that hate bicycle riders.

I don't leave my bike anywhere that it is not in my view, except at work. I don't see a huge problem with that, but what I'm more amazed by is the fact that there is a pay phone! You never see those anymore.

Does anyone suffer from battery range anxiety like people do with electric vehicles?

I remember stressing out once about 4 yrs ago on my ride home on my first ebike. Because I live in a hilly area it tends to consume a bit but that day I had to leave it on assist level 1 and keep pedaling and got home with about 2% left, so not much. My mid drive does so much better. I rode...

The Future of eBikes: How Fast is Too Fast?

When I was younger we did a lot of riding on forest service roads on our motorcycles but there were restrictions in some areas due to risk of fire (sparks from the exhaust). At least there is no concern of that from the ebikes.

The Future of eBikes: How Fast is Too Fast?

It makes sense for winter based clothes, but I was thinking of back in the 80's where stompandgo said they were wearing wool pants and shirts. I just never saw that, but then again I didn't pay close attention to what others were doing.

The Future of eBikes: How Fast is Too Fast?

I have never seen anyone wear wool shorts or jerseys?? I'm no pro, but I did well when I did race in some local events. I have almost no pics of my races, but this one was from 1987 at end of my 25 mile ride in a Bi-Athlon and it represents how I usually dressed. Sometimes with no shirt and...

The Future of eBikes: How Fast is Too Fast?

I have always thought spandex was funny. I used to race my road bike in the 80's and 90's and never wore spandex and still kicked a$$.

The Future of eBikes: How Fast is Too Fast?

My early Himiway cruiser I bought in 2019 didn't have much limitation on speed and I was able to reach 35mph pretty easy while pedaling. I've since gone to a mid-drive and its limit is 20 which is fine for me. I'm not one to want to go very fast unless I'm in traffic, which isn't very often. I...

When was the last time You listened to a record album?

Peter Noone also formed a band called The Tremblers in 1980 and put out a decent record. They disbanded the following year.

When was the last time You listened to a record album?

Well, The Archies and Monkees were manufactured bands. Jackson 5 was someone I remember being on a cereal box I would call a regular artist.....

Bikes in the Age of Tariffs

You all assume that all bikes/ebikes are made overseas but they are not. Buy USA and no tariff. There were tariffs in the first Trump term and I don't remember prices skyrocketing and I doubt they will this time either.

When was the last time You listened to a record album?

How about the records that were on the back of a cereal box. You would cut them out and play on your record player. Usually it was the Monkees or Archies, something like that but I think there were some regular artists too.

When was the last time You listened to a record album?

If they are taken care of, they don't. My brother has a 1956 Chrysler wagon that has a record player in the dash called a Highway Hifi. highway hifi

From a former road bike rider/racer in the 80's and 90's I ended up hanging up riding into the 2000's because of bad knees. Speed forward to 2019 I was at a friends place and saw his RadRover fat tire bike and it really peaked my interest. I started researching and ended up buying a Hemiway...
