Please Help Me Find Good-Quality FOLDABLE Type

A thought about suspension forks; try a suspension seat post first. A good one makes a huge difference in ride quality. You may not need a suspension fork and therefore can save some weight.

    Weight on New Como

Around 50 lbs (22.7 kg) would be fabulous! But considering it has fenders, a rack, and suspension fork it wouldn’t surprise me to be closer to 60 lbs (27.2 kg). Maybe it’s the Como SL that’s around 50 lbs? Better yet, maybe one of the members here that own one would be so kind and weigh their...

Looking for a budget ebike for short commutes

Darn, looks like just US & Canada. From the Propella site: WE CURRENTLY SHIP TO US AND CANADA ONLY. I just happened to catch this little bike while surfing around. I was thinking it might fit inside my Acura suv. Most of the folders are just too heavy for my wimpy arms.

Looking for a budget ebike for short commutes

Tough challenge Bleta. Low budget and getting a folding ebike up some stairs. Many of the budget folders are over 60 lbs (27 kg). Not so easy to wrestle up stairs. While surfing around online the other day I saw this little ebike. Propellant Mini. Not a folder but it weighs 33 lbs (15 kg) and...

Hooray for New Bike Day: Vado 4.0 2022

Will you be able to charge the battery at work? A single charge should be able to go round trip, unless there’s a nasty headwind. They are a sneaky invisible battery drainers.

    Pace 500 Reflectors

How about bright lights instead, front and back? It’s best to be seen from farther away, especially considering all the distracted drivers on the roads. Nice ebike! She is gonna have a blast.

Any idea where I might find a 2022 Spec Turbo Vado in M , white (pref) ? And some ebike questions Allant 8 plus S and Turbo Vado 5.0.

In agreement on the suspension seat post tip. Makes a huge difference in comfort. The roads in my area may be called hard surfaces but unfortunately they have tons of cracks, various pot holes, and crummy repairs. The suspension seat post glides over all of it.

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

First ride of the season was mostly wonderful except for a couple sections of mud and huge puddles. Didn't want to risk going through them as I didn't know the depth or what lies beneath. And I didn't want to get my pretty white ebike dirty! Went to the left side to get around this mess. I so...

Does anyone here "name" their eBikes?

Still working on a name for the white Aventon Pace 500. Started out last August with “Betty White” because it’s small and feisty. But then the real Betty White passed away in Dec. So one week it was “Oreo” because it’s a sweet little bike. Then I thought “Little Panda” it’s cute and black &...

Completed my first triathlon of the year!

Can’t wait to hear that you both back on the tandem. I put Schwalbe G-1 2.5 inch tires on the Vado. Mostly because I can keep the tire pressure done to 26 lbs which provides a softer ride. They are slightly knobby so they kind of “hum” while cruising along. And I suspect with all your...

Picking up new Como this week - what's my checklist?

Yes John, bright lights and a mirror, essential safety accessories. Como already has lights and the rear facing Garmin will help with traffic.
