The weight and size of a motor are strongly correlated. Shrink the volume, and the weight tends to drop too.

I took a quick look — seems like Ananda actually has more than one motor that fits road bikes. But I couldn’t really find much info on their battery options.

I checked with my friend, and he said the controller might be damaged due to 1. high temperature or water ingress in the controller, 2. motor short circuit, or 3. internal short circuit caused by damaged connecting wires. Btw, what was the torque of the hub motor you used before?

Yeah, it's a B2B product. I think lightweight is the future. Right now, there aren't many products that fit lightweight bikes.

If most people like the idea of a lightweight motor, why not develop it? LOL.
