Conversion to Di2 Alfine/Nexus Internally Geared Hub

Thanks for the replies! My reasons for wanting to change are: An internally gear hub is not exposed to weather, so stays clean (cassette gets dirty) I've never liked having a big derailleur hanging down at the back - fragile/exposed mech I like the technology (I'm a mechanical designer by...

Conversion to Di2 Alfine/Nexus Internally Geared Hub

Hi all, I've got a bike (Trek Lift+) with STePS and I'd like to convert the conventional rear derailleur/cassette setup to an Alfine or Nexus Di2. I'm thinking I'll have to; Buy the Alfine or Nexus Di2 Hub Get someone to lace it to the wheel Buy the extra thumb button switch for the gear...

    Trek Lift+

Thanks for the clarification! Makes total sense. So I only need the battery replaced from my dealer. I thought I had read somewhere that the capacity was being improved 20% or something; I was secretly hoping by getting a new battery I'd also see an improvement in range ;) -Iain

    Trek Lift+

I should have worded it differently :) I have a 2016 Lift+. There is some external damage to the battery so the shop is going to exchange it with a battery from a 2017. My question would therefore be: -Is the battery physically the same, or different? -If it is physically different, is the...

    Trek Lift+

Is anyone able to tell me if the battery/charger is different for a 2016 Lift+ vs. a 2017? Thanks! -Iain

    Trek Lift+

This past weekend I bought a 2016 Trek Lift+, and I'm pretty happy with it! A bit of background: I ride a 2016 Trek Verve 3. I love the geometry and riding position, so the Lift+ was a natural choice, as it is quite similar (although much smaller wheels). I had test ridden ~20 various eBikes...

    Shimano STePS

Hey there, I just bought a Trek Lift+. Once I got it home I found out it's a 2016, not a 2017. I'm concerned the battery might have been abused. When I have it fully charged and put it in, it says range is 93 km on ECO. Shouldn't it read 125 km? Just wondering or if this is normal. Also...
