Ode to the Trek Allant+ 8s

Well, not sure you can blame Trek for your upgrades. That's a personal thing. Getting rid of the stock tires and going tubeless has made the bike a smoother ride. My bull's bike with a decent air fork is still a harsher ride. But this bike is not an off-road bike. but yes the cobi turned out to...

That would be like using vice grips to remove a tiny sliver for what I am doing. hell, its leverage is longer than the actual part.

The nails hold the part in place while it is cut, but they lift up easily when done.. Then I can pull the nail out from the back, the nails don't have much head on them. There are a lot of them in that sawdust. I have a nail gun that shoots plastic nails that you can just break off. But they are...

I got the long guys for leverage. It makes the nails come out easily. I must have removed 500 nails today. I used to use flush cutters, but having those long handles makes a huge difference. I was cutting them off, but it leaves a stub. The new tool is actually less work to pull them out than my...

Yes better than ryobi. I liked the weight better than the Makita nailers. This gun I use to nail small parts down on my cnc router so they don’t come loose while I am cutting them.

I got tired of dealing with compressors or fittings always leaking. Since I don't use nail guns all the time, it's not practical to leave the compressor on. so I finally got my first gun a pin nailer then replaced the other two guns an 18-gauge and this guy, a 15-gauge. it works great the only...

I thought about one of those, but I am using small nails, 15-gauge, plus they don't cut close to a surface.

    A Frankenstein Shimano CS-M5100/7000 Cassette :)

We use the 11-50 and a 38 chairing on our tandem, we can climb about anything with that combo. You can get to 20 if you can pedal about 110 rpm. We don't use those may gears on the tandem, so the spacing is not an issue, but I would not want it on my regular bike.

    Bosch Nyon Retrofit

I got my Garmin before Nyons were available, so I use both, mostly for radar temp evaluation, slope, and such. I also used it to recorded to strrava till bosch made that work well.

    Bosch Nyon Retrofit

I know they stopped supporting the Kiox. I usually use the nyon for navigation if I need it but you need to make sure you setup the route before hand. but I don't do that much navigation so not sure how robust it is in hard use.
