    Help troubleshoot...assist just stops?

My battery isn't secure in it's case. If you take it off and rock it front to back you can feel about 1cm of play. Luckily it hasn't affected the bike yet, but it has me concerned that any connection in there could break or work themselves loose.

I have both tires at around 70 PSI so it can roll better. I don't like using earphones when riding, so the thing on my stem is a simple custom made mount for my bluetooth speaker. Interesting choice going with the CC instead of a folding ebike that you could carry you on that nice plane.

My rear tire has been has been fine for over 3 weeks now after using a tube that is correctly sized (43mm vs 45mm), removing all the sharp corners in the rim holes, replacing the rubber rim strip with something better, & switching to a Schalbwe tire. Can't exactly say which one of these action...

I can feel assist up to mid 20's on level 3, but usually cruise in low 20's. You do have to work to maintain it but 28mph should be easily achievable on lvl ground with no wind.

The Blackburn Central 700 x 60 fenders just came in & they are a good fit for the CC. I wanted to try them out before mentioning where I got them from but they're a great deal on closeout at $25 (+$5 shipping to IL) from https://www.biketiresdirect.com/product/blackburn-central-full-fender-set...

Ok pretty much using the same points I used only without the extra rack mods. So the hole on that side was re-tapped. Nice idea with removing the quick release lever from the seatpost collar. Should save me $5 on a new one. The Blackburn Central 700x60 fenders I ordered should arrive tomorrow...

A photo of the other side would be more clear, but did you make another threaded hole or just enlarge an existing one? Going back to what I did with the Performance Bike branded disc rack I have the brake side leg extended one notch lower then the other side, but still not perfect so I also...

The 2nd & third tire developed holes on the inner side, but I could not feel anything running my finger over the rim strip. But perhaps it was only an issue when fully inflated & with weight on the wheel. So far the 4th has been running good for few days & as mention this time I went with a tube...

    Cross Current

Yea instead of range anxiety I now have flat anxiety not good when my commute is 16 miles each way. My ride has to be very reliable since I don't drive & hate to spend money on public transit if I don't have to. That is pretty bad if the blowout was enough to warp a rim beyond repair. My rear...

Assist lvl 3 is actually enough to maintain low to mid 20's. Level 2 high teens. I don't bother much with 1 & eco. With no power low to mid teens.

I'm actually on my 4th inner tube & this time it's a Giant brand schrader 700 x 35-45 from a local LBS. The stock tube blew out a few minutes after being inflated to 80 PSI. The 2nd Kenda schrader 700 x 38-43 tube from a closer LBS kept getting holes in the inner wall & patches would blow out...

Just got the Sr Suntour suspension seatpost & I highly recommend it or any of the other parallelogram seatposts for your CC. The SP12-NCX is the best bang for buck of them though. I got this from bike-discount.de for about $85 shipped from Germany. It's even cheaper now two weeks later...

I had been thinking about making some sort of adapter to go on the seatstays, but ended up using the existing holes. This is the disc version of the Performancebike $25 house brand rack & has adjustable height legs. The brake side is bolted to the M5 hole used to make sure the axle doesn't fall...

I have the stock seatpost back on atm the moment & it does make a good difference in comfort for the rear. These parallelogram type suspensions seatposts are great. The major reasons I'm replacing it with the SR Suntour version is because it's cheaper, has half the travel which is all I need, &...

I have the Axiom Pulse 60 & it's nice for it brightness & small size. I only wish it would dim when low on battery rather then just go out. While at Performance I would also recommend getting their Kor bar ends for the extra hand positions. I'm still trying to find my optimum position on my...

Somewhat easy to get up to 28mph, but to maintain it I'd say you have to be to be semi-fit like if you can hold high teens low 20's on a normal bike.

Some more observations after a few days. The rear tire is a pain to get back on since the dropout slot is sized just wide enough to slip over the double flats on the axle. You will gouge/scratch the chainstay with the disc trying to get it back on. I also worry about damaging the cadence...

The drive side has a open mounting point & from the picture it looks like one of the disc brake mounting holes was used for the rack & fenders. I don't think I would do this myself, but it probably wouldn't affect the brake. 4th day on my CC commute & I got a flat on the rear tire. 2mm square...

There's also the 4 LED's on the battery. I don't know if they fluctuate since you have to press the button to view them. Also too bad the USB port on it is non functional. I just noticed the assist sort of dying today at around 30 miles out of a 33 mile roundtrip commute using mostly assist lvl...

All right. I'd like to finish the assembly & give it a test ride first to check it out though. Sorry if it sounds a bit nit picky, but I work in quality in a machine shop so I tend to notice these things.
