I damaged it on a ride and one of the links was coming out. I think I hit it on something. If it wouldn't have been for that I'd agree that it's way too early. I should have taken care of it earlier and it probably would have been fine, but just kept riding on it.

I installed a Chainspy2 last night but haven't had a chance to test it out yet. I'll post as soon as I do. The biggest issue that I was having was dropping the front chainring when I was in gear 1 and it got bouncy. I hope the chain keeper will fix that.

That's pretty cool! Are they though enough for the HF fully loaded? I guess it's easy to remove the battery to help lighten the load as well.

That looks like a great option. I like that the upper voltage and the amperage can be adjusted. Time is definitely on my side for overnight charges and if 1A is better for the life of the pack then that's fine by me. It looks like the barrel adapter would fit the four prong adapter for the HF...

They fit great. The light and fender will fit with the same bolt and only one hole had to be drilled for the rear fender.

Are you sure that your battery is completely locked in? I was riding a trail when I first got it and it cut out a number of times without the battery falling out. I finally stopped and unlatched the battery and locked it in securely with a good push and haven't had any problems since. I've now...

I agree that the heavier tires aren't that big of a deal. I put 8oz of slime in each tube of mine. A little weight is sooo worth not getting flats. I'll be curious about the BodyFloat. I've been thinking of getting one of those as well.

I notice that anything below 20 psi on the road feels squishy at higher speeds and tighter turns. I'm quite sure there's nothing wrong with the bike and it's just the knobby tires and low psi that create that effect.

Now that I've done some more research all I wish I could change is to put a Pinion gear drive and Gates belt on it. I love the idea of a sealed and no maintenance shifter with such a wide range. I also would like the gates since it doesn't require lube and also appears to last a long time.

I notice a difference but so far not very drastic. I might have to try it on a hill where torque might be more of a factor.
