LG Innovation - Future of batteries and electric vehicles webinar June 21st 8pm EDT

Nice. Will be great to see something other than cylindrical developed further. Originally looking for chargers, I stumbled across this site showing specs and charge/discharge curves of various batteries...

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I hope so too, best of luck! If you do have bad cups/cones, it should be covered under warranty. They would send out a new wheel in that case. So best to check that wheel's bearing resistance (if it comes to it).

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

@conix67 Park Tools makes quality wrenches. Do you have a recreation store nearby, like REI or Sports Basement? Otherwise, if you have a grinder, you can grind one down to fit. May be easier than printing? As for OEM wheels, they tend to be tight on cup and cone from the factory. It's a...

I wasn't sure what KST stood for either. For 'Korea Standard Time'. LG is a South Korean company.

E-bikes under fire as fatalities climb in NYC

One city to keep track of that is building out good supporting infrastructure is Lisbon: https://www.ecf.com/news-and-events/news/how-cargo-bikes-are-winning-hearts-and-minds-lisbon-0

Front and Rear Lights Installed on Giant with L&M Lights

Hey everybody! Linked here is a guide for those that want to install front and rear lights on their Giant bike. I’ve done this before, but on a 2017 Road E+. I am installing Light and Motion's lights on a 2020 Revolt E+ which has the same JST, JWPF series connectors and 6V supply. Chances are, a...

E-bikes under fire as fatalities climb in NYC

Supporting infrastructure is so critical. I believe it is the difference between e-bikes lasting, or just being a fad.

Heavy rider, very steep hills, not too expensive! Help please

I think this is the source of confusion/disagreement. Perhaps call it a torque divider for <1, and a torque multiplier for >1 (Cog teeth/Chainring teeth)? And before anyone points it out, yes you can multiply the inverse to divide. Per indianajo's point, my own mid-drive has a stock setup with...

Widespread Giant motor creaking problem - time for a recall?

Nice, I love the ingenuity! They added spacers from the factory to my Revolt E+ at the motor mounts. This was a big issue. Good point on connectors. An even easier and surefire way of getting the connector positioned right is to mark the connector and bike where the connector fits to with a...

New Motobecane Gravel/Road Bikes with Integrated Battery and MidDrive BAFANG M800 System

1 chainring versus 2 chainrings doesn't imply an inferior setup. Recent trends have been to add cogs (10 speed versus 11 versus 12 versus 13 speed) to the cassette, then make the high higher, and the low lower. Some people don't like front derailleur rub, the extra weight, dropped chains...

    Anyone with a 2020 Revolt E Pro?

Nice, I like this setup a lot. Would the One clear the stem? I was thinking of doing that plus running my Garmin 510.

    Anyone with a 2020 Revolt E Pro?

Hey dotcom54, under what conditions does it turn off? By any chance when it starts to get bumpy/rough terrain or under impacts?

The pace of innovation is mind-blowing!

Thanks for the share. 80km/h is quick! They are competing against ~$800 scooters. Would like to see some clever financing options to bring it to parity. India does have >1B people, so they don't even have to appeal to the masses to make money. Also, how is India's power grid? That I think was...

First ebike: Getting off my Hipster High Horse

Ahh, the Propella! That's the other one I was thinking of but didn't remember the name for. They have been around for a little bit too, so figure they have worked out some of the kinks. @jkhaha What do you mean by 'hipster style'? I noticed you mentioned liking some bikes here that I don't...
