    Yuba Bread Basket

I'm curious how this will fit. The mounting holes don't seem to line up.. Example: I got a RadRover in August 2016. Awesome. I had my iconic beer bottle opener installed on one side and a prototype bottle holder on the other. My father loved the Rover and wanted one for himself in early 2017...

Some learnings after the first 100 miles

Well I understand no one was really complaining. I was just pointing out the (I thought) obvious reason why the programing is the way it is and that it's working as designed. This guy is trying to use PAS5 when it's not needed and saying it needs better/more gearing when that's simply not the...

PAS too fast Rad Rover 2016

I'd like to report back that while my mileage has gone down (miles per charge) - I do like the new programing the more I ride with the system. I still wish there was a speed cutoff for each PAS level but.. who knows. I can pedal very comfortably on a flat surface at 12mph under my own power...

Some learnings after the first 100 miles

Yes. And that's where modifications come in. You want to pedal faster than 20mph? Sure - go get a higher gear. The controller (by default) should still cut off power at 20mph. So if you installed a higher gear.. you're not getting any power past 20 mph from the motor, right? So at that point...

Some learnings after the first 100 miles

Also regarding PAS levels. It's there to assist. I'm not sure why people get so weirded out by PAS 5 being too much. These bikes need to be regulated to 20mph to stay in line with the blanket law in place of the 20mph/750w to be considered an e-bike. A lot of people seem to think that PAS5 is...

    UNPIN the known problems post

Exactly. It'll linger around, for sure. But no need for it to be pinned.

    UNPIN the known problems post

I think it's a reckless post as well. People go onto the internet to complain/find solutions/read reviews far more than they do to brag about how awesome their tires held up today in 75 degree heat on both concrete & pavement across an 8.34 mile jaunt. Having a post like such at the top of the...

What I like to see (or wish) for the 2017 Radrover

One thing I'd personally love is a temp reading on the LCD display.

Known Issues & Problems with Rad Power Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Brakes need lots of adjustments to maintain tightness. This is most likely due to 20+ mph and city street braking of a 60 lb bike + rider/gear (So trying to stop around 225-300 lbs?) I found using a softer brake pad on the rear cuts down on excessive heavy braking thus leaving a more desired...

Does the Wagon have the front two water bottle mounts like the Rover?

Yeah those aren't bad. As long as you have room to mount them!! For that you should tho. I have the same style mount but for a go-pro and it fits perfectly at the base of the LCD display.

Does the Wagon have the front two water bottle mounts like the Rover?

I am not sure rad power bikes will be able to use/sell the front mount rack on their bikes. Between the two rovers in the fleet over here - the distance between the bolts didn't match on either bike. Either lack of quality control or the bolt placement was revised on the newer bike (same model...

    New full fenders

I'm going to need full fenders soon! I'm curious tho - on the rover how come the rear fender doesn't have that lip on it? It's just pure straight cut off. I think it adds a bit of style having a slight lip on the back end. Curious to know why you didn't add that on there?

    Mini Confusion

Will do, Mike! And I heard you guys have heard about me (and others) - I'm Adam Jarvis from YouTube (www.youtube.com/adammjarvis). I'm excited to move up that way and meet ya'll face to face and check out a mini for my girl! I was recently let go from work and figured if I need to look for new...

    Mini Confusion

@Mike Radenbaugh How can I tell what version forks I have? One rover was purchased August 2016 and the other Rover was purchased two months ago. Both forks look identical to me and say TOP GUN on the bottom right fork. I assume I have the newer forks. What brought it to my attention was my...

    Mini Confusion

The front forks still worry me. They tend to wobble a significant amount under front braking. Makes braking a bit wobbly. On another note - I went to order a new rear rotor for one of the Rovers as it was bent. I ordered a replacement rotor based on website specs only to learn the 160mm rear...

How many miles do you get on your RadRover/Radwagon?

Apparently you don't own a Tesla!! Try around 9 hours. However a 300 mile range vs 20-50 mile range and far more demanding

    RadRover electronics in the rain

That doesn't look half bad. I'm trying to get my girlfriend to sew me up a water proof cover. You cover both bikes (when needed) while on the hitch behind your vehicle as you drive down the road?? Not sure I'd feel safe with that setup. That's a lot of drag/pressure

    RadRover electronics in the rain

Thanks! They are actually a company product and unfortunately the file can not be shared. They will be for sale soon though! I don't think the controller needs a cover. They should be potted at the least. They come from a reputable company that makes controllers. Now if we can figure out a...

How many miles do you get on your RadRover/Radwagon?

At the camp site I did many trips to/from the public restroom. I also did many random trips on the beach because..sand and fat tires = fun. I got 18 miles out of 2/3 the battery, throttle only. I usually with ease do about 10 miles with still a full battery gauge when I half ass pedal...

    Cleaning Suggestions

I just use the "shower" function on the hose. I don't flood the bike but I do get it wet. Seriously. It's no different than riding the thing in the rain. Just take care and use a low pressure nozzle to get the water where you want it. I clean my tires often (I love a clean bike and clean...
