    eMTB Options For 2024

Yes, tubeless is as simple as that. Pretty much the same as a tube but you don't install the tube. Get one bead on, the other about 3/4's, then pour in a couple of ounces of Stan's or equal. Rotate up and slip the rest of the bead on, pump to 40psi and you're golden. A compressor air source has...

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

It will, but not recommended. These work on any of the bikes with a speed sensor on the chainstay. You can only pedal so fast - so while it does unlock the speed limiter, you have to pedal faster and faster to go faster. I tried the speed sensor relo-hack and it surely goes faster, but for...

    Explore+3 +4 GTS And Sister Amiti - Review • Comments • Q&A

Yes, a suspension seatpost is a plus. We had a few of the cheapo satori ones hanging around...better than nothing. The 'gravel' tires are just okay - much better options from Schwalbe. A 2" wide (50-55mm) can be squeezed onto those narrow rims and work out really well. The Marathon E+ are...

    Explore+3 +4 GTS And Sister Amiti - Review • Comments • Q&A

Amiti is good on paved trail or groomed hardpack. It is not an 'offroad' bike - suspension is meant to absorb surface irregularities, not for mountain trails. It is a good road and bike-trail bike. Yes, supplies of them have been severely limited. If you like riding road and bike trail, it's a...

Budget eMTB'S for 2022...the new Giant Reign is in here, Haibike, Canyon, YT, Trek, Orbea, Spcialized...LOTS of good options. Don't ask ME if you can actually find any one of them. 🤣 Hard to watch these...makes me want to run out and buy another bike. We're just getting done paying for the...

    eMTB Options For 2024

The Reign has always intrigued the hell out of me. More downhill oriented than my riding slant, but I'll bet it's just killer for that. BTW, for any that follow along here, I had such a blast last year in AZ over Thanksgiving week that we are going back again this year. Managed to get a couple...

    eMTB Options For 2024

Yeah, there really isn't a good substitute for a reasonable eMTB. They're in a class their own. Once you experience REAL suspension you'll find the Explore just really isn't. I loved mine, but don't miss it a bit, but then I don't commute. And if I spent much time on the road then I WOULD miss...

    eMTB Options For 2024

Holy smokes it's quiet around here...hope everybody is enjoying their summer with lots of mountain biking. I haven't been getting out as much as I would like to, but some trips planned for fall - maybe even another trek to Arizona. The winters are fantastic there. Speaking of 'trek'...

    Vehicle Rack for 2 Aventures?

^^Looks good. But the frame-hold bar would be a non-starter for me. The rocky-mounts main frame bar rises higher after the hitch insert part, creating a lot higher ground clearance. Not sure about others, but I think Kuat's do as well. Hope you don't drag on driveway aprons with the 'fultyme'.

    Vehicle Rack for 2 Aventures?

Yes, exactly. And like my RockyMounts. My BIL has the Kuat one on a Highlander, and I liked it so well I went looking for one when we got the new RV 'toad'. The Kuat's are nice but very high-$$ - with some models up to the $700-range. I'm not real excited about all the alloy linkage on the...

    Vehicle Rack for 2 Aventures?

Not a question. A rack with a keeper bar that clamps down on the tire will not work with a bike that has fenders. I just took a quick look at '1Up' racks and perhaps their clamps can be configured to work with some fenders. They clamp in a different place than the over-the-tire type hold clamps...

    Vehicle Rack for 2 Aventures?

^^ A tire-locking bike rack doesn't work on a bike with fenders. Not sure if I understood that correctly.
