Speed Hack - no more limited by 27MPH cutoff ??

Still the question is: Do you personally feel safe at 35 mph? Do you secretly like the smell of gas? If your answer is yes, then here you go: http://www.amazon.com/Brand-Black-All-terrain-49cc-Scooter/dp/B00BI210IU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1418341174&sr=8-2&keywords=gas powered bikes or perhaps...

Electric Scooters vs. Full Sized Electric Bikes

Small scooters are a very attractive option for short trips, smooth sidewalks/roadways and fold 'em up and carry on situations. Wouldn't we all like to have one? Ebikes, are a car replacement thingie, at least for me.

How Do You Get Decent Regulations?

I read the article, most countries have crippled electric bikes to the point of not being usable for overweight riders or towing, 250 watts is not much of a motor. Every state or province being allowed to formulate restrictive laws as they see fit must drive the manufacturers crazy.

How Do You Get Decent Regulations?

States have the right to pass laws concerning transportation. So every state has different ebike laws. Bummer.

Electric Scooters vs. Full Sized Electric Bikes

Thanks for the Super Lithium 1500 review. The Ecoreco M5 looks a lot more urbane and sophisticated style wise I think. The Lithium 1500 appears to have industrial/warehouse motif. I am sure that the 1500 is illegal on bike paths, the Ecoreco M5 with its 250 watt motor may pass. I like that it...

Speed Hack - no more limited by 27MPH cutoff ??

I have begun to see more gasoline powered bikes around. Speeds attained would have them classified as mopeds here in AZ. Can't ride those on bike paths here. Is there any documentation around to support your position? Anyway, the proof is in the pudding. I would ask anyone who wishes to try and...

What ever happened to ebikes powered by hydrogen fuel cells?

Thanks Ravi! Since the hydrogen is transformed directly into electricity, there is no need for a battery....the cannister is the energy repository. The cannister contains compressed hydrogen, rather than liquid hydrogen. Very Cool.

What ever happened to ebikes powered by hydrogen fuel cells?

Scam? Right you are. The article I referred to said it would be at Eurobike this year not next. Ouch! I was led by the nose once again.

OK...I like all the new bikes coming out...but are the "Bells & Whistles" worth it?

Yeah, with all the new exotic models out there now, I can see how confusing that "parade" can be. Yes, "The basic function of the bicycle" has fundamentally changed if it is an electric bike, because we use this type of bike differently than the leg powered bikes. Before considering a particular...

Are protected/buffered bike lanes a good idea or Not?

I came across a couple of articles concerning innovations in separating bikes from motorized traffic. All of the new ideas seemed to be a great. See here: http://www.smgov.net/Departments/PCD/Transportation/Bicyclists/Lanes-Facilities-Parking/ and here: However, after reading this piece by...
