I wonder how this friction drive unit performs. Couple good reviews on Amazon and one on a Redit forum that I could find. Relatively inexpensive, uses standard 48v battery, retracts from wheel, bidirectional capable, claimed 350w which is more than the Qiroll Pro.

What I've noticed for mine is that the assist is very noticeable on flats and gentle grades, where it's not needed (where I normally shut off assist on my mid drive bikes) but falls flat on any significant grade where assist is wanted. My experience may be skewed because I typically ride hilly...
