    CCX: zero mode and more

I am looking forward to reading reviews from CCX owners, especially regarding performance at the top end. I am also hoping that at some point @Tora Harris or someone else from Juiced provides some guidance about the ability to upgrade the CCS controller to the CCX if the top speed performance is...

    Juiced Bikes 40 mph!!

FWIW, my Juiced CCS came with 180mm hydraulic discs front and rear. The bike weighs 65+#'s, me and my gear is about 195#, I routinely ride at 30 mph. I have never felt like the brakes weren't up to the job. I just changed the pads front and rear at 3900 miles. If I felt like the brakes weren't...

    Juiced Bikes 40 mph!!

Yes it is. That is part of my point for sure. Safe speed is relative to the situation. A 40 mph bike on a snowpacked road is ridiculously stupid, same road dry in the summer might be very safe depending on traffic condidtions. Bike trails tend to be more winding and the corners are designed...

    Juiced Bikes 40 mph!!

I understand your point and agree with you that there are always going to be some idiots who put others at risk. As you already pointed out, they are already doing so by riding their gas powered bikes on the trails in spite of the regulations against it. This problem isn't going to get better or...

    Juiced Bikes 40 mph!!

So the answers you are likely to get will vary alot depending on each individual preference. To be sure, there are already ebikes out there that are capable of 50mph and up. (See Luna Sur Ron) and many individual builders modding old bike frames with 3000+W motors and 72V batteries. For many...

    Juiced Bikes 40 mph!!

Highest speed I've been on my Juiced CCS is 42 mph going downhill. I felt very stable and safe. The bike is very solid at speed. The fastest I've ridden on my road bike is 55 mph downhill. That's about as fast as I wanted to go. There are safety advantages when riding at higher speeds, and...

Has anyone gone from the 48v 12.8ah to the 52v 19.2ah on the CCS?

I am generally cruising at ~30 mph. My average speed for the entire commute is usually between 23-24 mph.

NEW Juiced Models: Rip Current, and Cross Current X; Tariff Pricing Announced

FWIW, I have a 52V battery (almost always only charged to 80% and drains to 40%) I have seen real-time watts up to 1050W in S mode. Cruising in level 3 watts typically range from 500 to 750, in S mode if speed is below 30 it will range from 700 to 1000, above 30 its just like level 3.

    Yes mine works just fine.

Has anyone gone from the 48v 12.8ah to the 52v 19.2ah on the CCS?

I should clarify a few things here I think. The CCS controller starts pulling back power delivery as you reach the bikes' top assisted speed for a given voltage. Thus as you reach the max assisted speed you will see the controller display < 30 watts being used even though you are travelling >...

Has anyone gone from the 48v 12.8ah to the 52v 19.2ah on the CCS?

In my 3600+ miles of riding so far, I have never been passed by another bike. :D

    Canadian CCX

The Satiator will work with battery packs from 24V to 52V, including lead acid and Lithium Ion. You will need an adapter to plug into the charging port on your pack unless it uses a 3 pin XLR type connection.

Has anyone gone from the 48v 12.8ah to the 52v 19.2ah on the CCS?

I can't speak about the range difference, but I can comment on the performance difference. My CCS has the 52V /21Ah battery. I rarely fully charge the battery to 58.8V full charge. Most of the time I charge to 80% or 55.4V, which is little more than a 48V pack at 100% charge (54.6V). At 55.4V...

    Canadian CCX

You are correct, that the picture they are using is a CCS not a CCX. I'm not sure what bike they are actually selling.

It also includes the Grin Satiator charger. That is a $300 upgrade. When I bought my CCS it came equipped with the 52V /21Ah battery and Satiator charger as well as GPS tracker. I would not have been willing to buy the Satiator on my own, but now that I have one, I wouldn't go back for anything...

Survey for those with higher mileage (2000+) ebikes

My Juiced CCS is a bit over 3600 miles since I bought it in May. The rear tire is showing significant wear and I have ordered a replacement. I did have my original taillight fail, which Juiced replaced under warranty. (I don't even think of this as repair honestly.) Otherwise, completely trouble...

R.I.P. RipCurrent S? Pulse/Stutter when pedaling, ~50 miles brand new. Please help.

I would remove the rear wheel again and make sure everything is undamaged/ installed correctly. These bikes are heavy so make sure the rear wheel is sitting straight and flush in the dropouts when reinstalling, and get the torque arm installed correctly. Then make sure the electrical connection...

Is anybody using eco mode (lowest assist level) on your usual bike ride? What is your usual assist level?

I use level 4 out of 5 on my Juiced CrossCurrent S for the majority of my commute. Cruising speed is generally ~ 30 mph. Love having a big battery that allows me to do this for my 30 mile each way commute. :D

Tubeless tires--please share experiences and ask questions here!

I converted my Juiced CCS to a tubeless setup primarily for the flat avoidance and have been very happy. My tires and wheels were NOT "tubeless compatible", but the conversion worked well in spite of that. I will say the first wheel was a very frustrating process even after watching multiple how...

    40 mile round trip commute

As an owner of a Juiced CCS, I will say the bigger battery that is on the CCX adds a level of utility that your other choices lack. My commute is 30 miles each way, I have the big 52V pack, and I generally only charge to 80% to improve longevity of the pack. But I also have the ability to have...
