    CCX Smaller Chainring Options

You have to like a slow pedal cadence to use 9th gear. To me its only usable above 33 mph. That doesn't happen a lot.

    Grin Satiator

Yes, the satiator comes pre-programed with charging profiles for 48V and 52V batteries, also includes lower percent of charge options and different charging rates. You can also make your own custom profiles to charge however you want. You will need an adapter to plug it into the 48V battery though.

    CCX Smaller Chainring Options

This is a relative statement for each rider, as some people like higher cadence than others. I don't shift out of 7th gear (52-15) until at least 28 mph and 8th (52-13) takes me to around 33, I rarely use 9th (52-11) as I am not going faster than that very often.

    Affordable class 3 ebikes?

So another part of the equation that you are not considering is the voltage driving the motor. Higher Voltage will spin the same motor at a higher speed. Thus there are advantages to be had by going with a 52V battery over a 48v or 36V battery, couple this with higher amp controller and you have...

    Grin Satiator

The satiator is plug and play with the Juiced 52V pack 3 pin XLR charging format.

    CCX Smaller Chainring Options

I know several people on this site have changed out the chainring. So as long as you get the correct BCD for the cranks it should work fine. I'd also recommend you shorten the chain if you do this as the chain is already probably too long for the 52T ring.

    Affordable class 3 ebikes?

I don't have personal experience with Stromer, but again the top speed is going to be largely determined by the winding in the motor. From what I've read the Stromer bikes seem to be built for speed, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it can be ridden at 28mph. I know my Juiced CCS motor is...

    Affordable class 3 ebikes?

So, just because a bike is a "Class 3" bike doesn't necessarily mean the bike will be able to travel at 28 mph. There are plenty of complaints on this forum from people who bought bikes with that expectation only to be disappointed with the speed limit the bike can attain. I would definitely...

Less Than Ideal Temperatures for Optimal Battery Performance

I just ordered some neoprene and velcro to make a sleeve to insulate my battery. Some of the more common ebikes sell custom fit neoprene for batteries, not mine unfortunately. Temps here have been in the 30's for my morning commute most of the month, and had a few days into the low 20's...

Giant Quick E+ vs. Juiced CrossCurrent X vs. IZIP E3 Moda

You can easily fit a wider tire in front, in back however its much tighter. A poster on here named Reid went all out getting e widest tire possible to fit but he was mechanically crushing the chainstays to make room. I don't remember how wide he was able to go. IMHO, a 2.1 inch tire would be...

Giant Quick E+ vs. Juiced CrossCurrent X vs. IZIP E3 Moda

So I will give you a bit of my perspective on the CCX. I own a CCS and have put 4400 miles on it commuting since May. I am also an avid MTB rider. You do not need a high performance MTB shock on a commuter. The Suntour fork on the CCX does a nice job of absorbing road bumps, I have never...

Long Commute - 70 miles round trip for eNoob

I'm trying to clarify something. Are you saying 30 mph average speed for the length of the commute; or are you saying cruising speed average of 30??? I ask this because I commute long distance on my CCS and my cruising speed is ~30 mph, but my average speed for the commute is generally ~23-24...

How many times have you heard "that's cheating!"? ?

My personal favorite response is, "Yup, I'm cheating Exxon out of my gas money."

Long Commute - 70 miles round trip for eNoob

So I am using the stock saddle that came on my CCS. Making sure you are properly fitted to your bike is a big deal for long term comfort. Most people ride with their saddle height too low for a more upright seated position. This dramatically increases the workload on your legs (leading to...

Long Commute - 70 miles round trip for eNoob

So mid-drive bikes will likely have a higher maintenance bill with replacing chains, cassettes, and chainrings on a regular basis, but its still cheap relative to driving. My maintenance cost in bike parts (not including tools, lubricants, etc.) in 4000 miles so far is: 1) Tubeless tire...

Long Commute - 70 miles round trip for eNoob

I actually didn't replace the stock tires, I was able to make them work tubeless. I am honestly quite surprised and pleased with their performance. I did have to replace the rear tire at ~3500 miles due to wear, but the front is probably good for another 4000 miles or more based on current wear...

Long Commute - 70 miles round trip for eNoob

So my commute is 30 miles each way. Your checklist is nearly identical to mine before I bought. Long story short, I ended up buying a Juiced CrossCurrent S (CCS), the new generation is the CCX. You can search posts by me, I have detailed my experience on this forum. Long story short, the CCX is...

Report of my first 4000 miles on a CCS (also my first 5 months of owning it)

Ok. Thought it was time for an update. I hit 5 months of ownership today and I am at 3955 miles on the bike. I am still love the bike. It continues to ride and perform like new. I am still charging to 80% nearly all the time. I have noticed the cold affecting range but it hasn't caused me to...

    CCX: zero mode and more

I can pretty much guarantee that Juiced will continue to offer 52V packs. They have a long history of being unable to keep up with demand and have been backordered on bikes and batteries many times. Tora is clearly wanting to promote the advantages of the 52V battery packs. As an owner of one I...
