Just got a new invoice, the bike is almost on its way again. $300 off for the battery (it will cost me $730 here in Norway). My credit card doesn't like this one bit, but I have been set on this bike since April so I'm very pleased that this finally happening (hopefully...)!

Also think this bike would kill in Europe and if I had kids and/or did a lot of shopping, this would've made me drool a little. I love that it's orange, and it looks really old school and modern at the same time.

So, it seems like they CAN ship the bike, if I buy the battery here in Norway. A local shop here in Trondheim can help me with the same type of battery. It will cost me a smooth 725 dollars (I live in a pricey country), almost as much as the bike itself, but I'm gonna do it. Waiting on...

I think they tried everything. Or else I would have had the bike by now. One solution could have been to ship the bike without the battery, of course. And then I could buy the battery here in Norway. If they have it.

Nothing. Quiet overall. Kind of losing my enthusiasm now, I have to say. I'm a pretty optimistic and easy going guy, but this gets me down now. I've been so psyched about this bike and was SO looking forward to using it nowadays, because this month I have to bike up a long steep hill everyday...

Yeah, and it's been DHL I have been hinting at being the best at delivering to Norway too. Never had any problems with them with anything, really.

Latest update from Ty about my bike still sitting in Seattle (a month now) because of the problems with shipping the battery to Norway: "Our last test was rejected by FedEx, we are now in the process of working with a rep at DHL, as soon as we know more we will let you know ASAP!"

@Vraust Hopefully they will be more prepared for other backers from our area in the world now that they've gone through (or rather, are doing it still - no word yet on the bike) the problems with shipping my bike (more correctly, the battery).

"We chipping away at it. Norway's law regarding shipping hazmat is far more rigorous than any other country that we have encountered, but after talking with shipping today, I really do think we are close."
