    Rear Brake linereplacement

To the OP: If your existing system is a hydraulic system, why not reuse the existing hydraulic line? Perhaps, I do not understand what your existing rear brake system is or what is prompting the replacement.

Should I Buy A Pedal Wrench?

I have always gotten pedal washers when I purchased pedals. You can certainly try going to the hardware store but I think it may be a challenge to match up the typical dimensions. Pedal washers are fairly thin, polished, and the inside dimension relative to the outer dimension is not typical of...

Should I Buy A Pedal Wrench?

There are lots of forums where this is discussed. I do not know that it is essential but a preferred practice. Here is one reference: Reference

    Replacement Gazelle Ultimate C380+ Pedals

I also ride a Gazelle UIltimate T10+. In the past, I have ridden other quality bikes. In my opinion bike manufacturers do not routinely install quality pedals on bikes knowing that many riders will be replacing them quickly. Pedals are one item that should not be a reflection of the bike's...

Should I Buy A Pedal Wrench?

I would also recommend anti seize lube on the threads. Like PCeBiker, I use this same type wrench combination anytime I need to remove a pedal. Also, I would recommend the use of pedal washers if not already on your bike.

    Replacement Gazelle Ultimate C380+ Pedals

I would definitely not try to match the pedal. Something like these Ride Pedals from RaceFace might serve you well. I went with the more aggressive RaceFace Chester version with steel pins for more secure foot placement. In my case, that was a bit too aggressive. I was able to polish and adjust...

    Ebike rack

I also went with a Hollywood rack and very happy with the product for all the reasons that McApple shared. I too am routinely carrying two ebikes. The engineering that went into the rack is impressive.

    Checking in at 1K

I had posted the note copied above back in March of this year. At the time, I was anxiously waiting to ride my new Gazelle Ultimate T10+ which was delayed because of lots of snow and recovery from rotator cuff surgery. It was around the middle of April when the snow was gone, and I was finally...

    Second-hand ebike business option.

I thought I would post on this discussion again to share this option for anyone looking for a bike at a steep discount. I purchased my Gazelle Ultimate T10+ from Upway and am very pleased with the process. Communication with the support team was consistently excellent. I have had one issue with...

    Show Us a Tool

I would try getting a hold of Schwalbe tech support. If this is truly a defective tire they may be willing to replace it. I would sure do that before I warped my rim to compensate for a bad tire.

Ergonomic adjustment / suspension stem for Gazelle bike?

With inspiration from Stefan Mikes, I ended up purchasing the SQLab 702 grips. I am finding them to be a great upgrade. I plan to try those for a while and then consider adding the innerbarends. I did modify the left grip to accommodate the Mirrycle mirror as Stefan suggested. I kept the cut...

    Bike radar

I found this comparison between Trek CarBack and the Garmin Varia RCT715. I am looking at these but not ready to take the plunge. https://cyclingmagazine.ca/sections/gear-reviews/new-trek-carback-radar-vs-garmin-varia/

Where are the bike tire nerds?

For the past 20 years I have only ridden Schwalbe tires. Always very happy with their performance and value.

Where are the bike tire nerds?

Once various tire size options / and tires have been explored, I have found this website to be a great source for exploring usable tire pressures. https://www.renehersecycles.com/tire-pressure-calculator/

    Battery charging

Curious what the thoughts are for charging Bosch batteries. In reading the charger manual, that seems to suggest plugging in the charger to wall power first followed by connection to the battery. My impression is that there is a 5 volt signal between charger and battery that will then open...

Race Face Chester Pedal Install /w Modification

For most of the last 20 years, I have ridden with Clipless Pedals but decided with my new bike to simplify and eliminate the need to wear special cycling shoes. I upgraded my OEM pedals to Race Face Chesters. I liked the pedals but found the screws to be a little too aggressive. As a result...

Sit Bone Width Relative to Optimal Saddle Selection

Thanks for your note. I am starting to share many of your conclusions. A couple days ago, I returned the Ergon ST Core Evo seat to REI. Ergon claims that this model is good for up to 12-16 cm sit bones. No way would I agree with that. I am so thankful for the REI return policy and they...

Sit Bone Width Relative to Optimal Saddle Selection

Thanks for sharing your experience. I just looked at the SQLab 610 Ergolux Active 2.1. I see that they also make this in a 17 cm. I will give that some consideration.

Sit Bone Width Relative to Optimal Saddle Selection

I appreciate your input Stefan. It is all a very personal journey. For reference, I am about 6'2" and 185 lbs and will be 70 in another couple of months. I have tried increasing my forward position to put more pressure on my hands (and less on my seat) but that also resulted in some nerve...
