    Nuclear fusion breakthrough

I'm just an ordinary bloke applying common sense to this breakthrough. Of course this is military. Now it may just be that to get this thing up to scale has the world in their hand. Who knows, maybe incredible lazers. If it is this kind of thing then the political will will be there, like...

    Nuclear fusion breakthrough

Yes, there is still a lot to do and unknown, BUT just the proven fact that it is possible I find comforting. One thing is for sure is that it could be massive amounts of cheap power, and that is something to play with in re-jigging the world, hopefully making things better. This is what is so...

It's just a virtual pub thing to get through winter, being down the pub with your pals having a laugh and chit chat to keep the spirit up. I mean, 2 tablespoons of cloves! So funny.

Not booze for me. I was thinking of just blending something with milk. A mince pie shake. Booze, it's just ethanol. Not stolid, ethanol. So that drink would be pineapple and coconut with ethanol. It's de-icer, dry cleaning fluid. Ethanol. It's all ethanol. Gin, vodka, whiskey.....ethanol...

I bet you enjoyed this series, The Peoples Century? What others did you like which are along the same lines? The World at War?

That is a fantastic idea to use foods like that. I could blend a mince pie for Christmas, etc. Thanks. Thinking out side the box and disregarding established rules. I bet you are full of great ideas. I'm the same myself. It's the pioneer way

Hahaha, that is soooo funny. Most recipes say about 4 cloves, and you're willy nilly giving precise measurements of a whole jar! Soooo funny. Brill

As I've got older I become more concerned about what could have happened to food or drinks that other people have been involved with. I'm very picky now. In a social situation I will buy something bottled and drink from the bottle as it's difficult for someone to muck about with, and also who...

I've been testing these cordials for a week now. They don't have the sweetness a lot of ordinary cordials tend to have, and this is good. I'm using sparkling water, mainly. By far, the best so far is blackcurrant & liquorice.

Rexlion....I think it will evaporate, but I'm not bothered, I'm sick of booze booze booze, everywhere is awash with alcohol. It can't just be me. I can imagine temperance bars becoming very popular. I think we are all sick and tired of alcohol. It's great to not have alcohol, it's better.

    Nuclear fusion breakthrough

Rich c.....yes, about 20% for free. It's like putting a pound into your pocket and it turns into £1.20, so you take that all out, keep the 20p, put the same pound in again and it turns into £1.20 again, and you can just keep on like that forever.

    Nuclear fusion breakthrough

Handlebars.......I think you are right that it will not save the Earth. I think that there are just too many people living in an unsustainable way. Answer: less people. It is going to have to be a sort of one world order where there is no possibility of war. Fusion might be a key towards this...

    Nuclear fusion breakthrough

scrambler......yes, I know it all has to be worked out, but that will happen as a matter of course, decades. And yes, it may not help clean up the oceans, etc. But energy is what drives everything along. It will be a different world, a real game changer. Neverlost99....... I haven't seen the...

    Nuclear fusion breakthrough

Well, we can't let it pass without giving notice to this wonderful breakthrough. At last, more energy out than put in. Like striking a match that doesn't go out. We'll have all had our eye upon nuclear fusion for years, knowing it can be done, but could it be done to get more energy out than is...

Poo and piss, haha. Just goes to show not to judge a book by its cover.....Mountain Dew haha. But yes, that artificial sweetener is getting hard to avoid. I think it is, or at least some is, Aspartame, which is suspect to say the least. Pilots not to fly after it, etc. Really, all this...

Rexlion.....water is best, the odd time it happens to be on the cards after eons, but the next time it doesn't hit the spot so well as then. You wrote: 'So I switched, cold turkey, to water. Oh, it was difficult. Drinking bland, insipid water when the palate is accustomed to Coke is not at all...

Well, just to polish off this thread. The idea was to find a way of drinking the daily fluid needed for health, and without alcohol. For me it had become difficult with mainly just tea and coffee and the odd orange cordial. I didn't seem to have any choice. Anyway, this little investigation has...

I'm now drinking loose leaf tea. It is Yorkshire Tea's Gold, their finest. I brew it in the mug and the leaves settle to the bottom with no messy floaters. It's a good brew. But also there is the bonus of then reading the tea leaves. I've just done this now and can see a man holding up something...
