Hi everyone from the oldest 55 and over community in the USA, Ryderwood, WA.

I think Sun City was the first 55 community, but welcome to the group.

"Lectric XP Step" - New ebike announcement

I like it. Good performance, affordable and versatile. Kept the price at $899. I might order one for my wife as she needs a step thru. I agree with the frustration about the supply chain in general, but that's not Lectric's fault. Lots of new choices in the value space. Aventon, Ride1up, Lectric...

New RadMission from Rad Power Bikes

I agree with TMH, the R1U Core and 500 ($1195) have a lot to offer over the Rad Mission. For $50 or $200 more, the R1U's are much more versatile, and they both have the integrated batteries, displays, 7 speed, etc.

New RadMission from Rad Power Bikes

I like it. Would definitely consider as a second bike. Relatively light, nimble, simple. Only concern is 16-50 gearing, only 86 gear inches. Throttle could bail you out starting on a hill, but high speed would be limited to probably 24 mph at cadence 90? or 17 mph at 60.

    Ride1Up Core 5 and LMT'd = Shipping!!

Sorry to hear that NoTry, but I had the same experience. Check out the Espin Sport or Flow. Discounted to $1199 with specs and style similar to ride1up. I ordered the Flow for my wife yesterday after another 30 day slip from ride1up.

    Ride1Up Core 5 and LMT'd = Shipping!!

I canceled my order after they finally told me my "early June" delivery would be July 10th. They did issue a full refund promptly. Not sure what's going on with ride1up, they do a lot of things well, but communication of order status is not one of their strengths. Good luck to those who have...

Espin Flow $1199 Great Bike, Support ?

My promised early June Ride1up delivery has now slipped to mid July, so I'm looking at this deal on the Espin Flow. Normally it's $1795, but they have been offering this special at $1199, to boost orders and sales. The bikes are in transit (on the water) so I trust the projected late June...

Need help finding bar end bike mirror of Pace 500

I don't have a Pace 500, but I've used these on all my bikes over the years, Only need them on the left side, except I put them on both sides of a 3 wheel recumbent. Personally I think these are the best design available.

    Ride1Up Core 5 and LMT'd = Shipping!!

I've been told that my bike will be shipping at the end of the week .... for the past 3 weeks ! Kind of reminds me of a wooden sign I saw over a bar near Flagstaff ... "Free beer tomorrow". lol

    Air Gauge - Recommendations?

At one time I had 8 bicycles and 3 cars/trucks. This made my life much easier. It is usually stocked by Home Depot for about $40, and you have to purchase a 18 v Ryobi battery extra. It has a digital display that you can set the desired air pressure and it will cut off when reached, and it's...

    Air Gauge - Recommendations?

I've used this for over 15 years on road bikes, MTB's, cars, trucks, etc. easily switches between presta a schrader. Had a cracked battery cap one year, called Topeak and they sent me a replacement for free.

Known Issues & Problems with Aventon Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

That would be nice, but I am very skeptical that it will work. Even if it did a 29% reduction in top speed (from 28 to 20) would only translate to 8.5 mph in PAS 1 (29 % reduction of PAS 1 speed of 12 mph). Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Which is better? Rad Power Bikes or Ride 1 Up?

I like the Aventon 500 (and 350 if you are a lighter person). It is agile, quick and well made, very fun to ride. But ... 2 problems, 1) no throttle from a stop, and 2) abrupt acceleration to 12 mph in PAS level 1. Many owners say they get used to that, and actually learn to like it. Re...

How to get fast, steady acceleration from start on the 700

The 500 and 700 have user selectable boost levels and number of levels. Change her bike to 9 levels and set level 1 to, say 10%, may be 20% for level 2 and so on. This way you can program it to less than your Rad bikes if you want to. Of course she has to make sure she is not in a higher level...

    New LMT’d - who’s in?

I think ride1up is aiming at a lot bigger market than Dost's 2 bike niche. Probably sees a great opportunity to challenge Rad's aging non-fat bikes as well as Aventon's lineup.

    E Bike Preorders ?

Sorry Timpo ... Direct to Consumer, I edited my post to spell it out. Maybe I should have said on-line or something else.

    E Bike Preorders ?

I went to a Wal-Mart in Houston today and walked by their bicycle racks. There was not a single adult bike available. Considering that Wal-Mart is probably the single biggest importer of Chinese products ... some estimate 80 % of their COGS come from "made in China" imports, and their annual...
