Depends, e-bike tires i bought where designed to channel away water, mud, etc but turning them around increased the nub surface in the center for traction. Each tire is different so you have to decide for yourself.

They are installed directional. If you notice the nubs they usually have a pointed end towards the direction of travel. The motors can handle far more than their rated for, you only have to increase the controller output. Now you have a new issue. Make sure the BMS is rated for the maximum output and remember the greater the amp draw on your battery the shorter the life span.
